I don't bench, deadlift, or do heavy OHP. I squat because I like it. I like barbell squats, but there are better exercises for hypertrophy and overall size. This is true with all the compounds. It's just easy to prescribe them and over do them because you can literally slap 2.5 lb plates on the bar each week and call it progress.

Low bar for strength, high bar for quads. Choose what you want/need. I personally go for low bar as main lift and front + overhead squats and oly lifts as extended warm-ups (depends what I feel like doing this particular day). Alpha/beta discussions show hidden unsecurity.
