2) Drink lots of water, NOT other fluids.

Just look up keto. People shit on the keto diet here, but for fatties it's a godsend. And it's easy to maintain. Don't worry about working out at first. I lost 40 pounds the first two months with zero physical effort and no hunger.

I've heard of that. The problem is that I need big portions to call it a meal.
I've heard that back then food portions were much smaller than what we have today, so I am actively trying to tell my brain that a 300kcal meal is good enough, but it's very difficult. It keeps wanting to eat 1000kcal and do that 3 or 4 times per day.

I used to be fat when I was a teenager and used to go to walking with my father. Walking is inefficient and has a slow weight loss progress. It will shatter your motivation to walk for a month to see you lost little to no weight.

Even though an obese person can't do jogging more than a couple of minutes; heavy sweating, panting, pain and discomfort means you have activated your metabolism and burning calories like a coal power plant.
