Can't forget the most important one; working out

Cycling indoors and watching anime to pass the time doing it

climbing

Reading the holy Qur'an.

Making art and artisanry any way.
Hunting.
Combat sports (real ones; Boxing, Kickboxing, MT, BJJ, Judo or similiar)
In general, searching out unique and special experiences or producing something.

Going to the gym is not a hobby, just so you know.
"Eating" or "hanging out" is not a hobby, it is just something you do.
Simply consuming media is never a hobby.

OR just Books

Sex

playing guitar
speaking another language

Not more of a "hobby" than pooping once a day.
Bodily functions are not hobbies.

Playing Chess

I do /tg/ and Jow Forums stuff so I can flex on the fat autists in both demographics.

Virgin

>consuming media is never a hobby.
bro you got a lot of people to educate on that

Every hobby I take up, I'm terrible at. I might look into graphic design because I've always wanted to make visual art, but even then I'm trash so I give up quickly.

Abstaining from masturbation.

3-gun and USPSA

Photography has gotten me out of my social comfort zone and exploring areas in and around my city.

Get a sport or private pilot's license then get instructor rated and buy a plane, depending on the area you should be able to afford the plane based off of the instructor income alone

Music and chess

Interesting how long is the schooling?

Depends on how often you can get to your field and fly, at least for PPL. No idea for CFI

I have barotrauma with effusion in both ears right now from flying recently..
Fuck flying. I never liked it before and now I know why

Anything that you are passionate about that is not just mindlessly consuming media or socializing.
Cooking
Martial Arts
Photography
Anything artistic, music or drawing/painting are redpilled
Something that inspires passion within you and you can share your passion with the world.

flying drones and remote control airplanes, martial arts, reading ( non fiction of course) stock trading, classical guitar, hunting/fishing, hockey.

Better yet how far have you gotten? Are you planning to instruct thereafter?
Whats your end game?

Nigga why tf do you expect to be good at something right away?

Why take up a hobby like art if I'm too ashamed to share it with anyone? Just creates a bunch of wasted time and expensive supplies.

You'll get better eventually. Also most normies standards for art are extremely low. Watch this, got some great insights. You can make it.

I do tabletop.

3-gun is both a blessing and a curse
A lot of incredibly insufferable super-elitist blasting their parent's or investor's money like faggots
Like ~40 hours or some shit for a 61 school for Private pilot, schooling depends on the time you have for it. That's in flight in the air hours, so seeing as it can be pretty fucking expensive you could get a couple and save up for a few weeks and keep going like that over and over. You could get it done in a few weeks, you could get it done in a few years, totally up to you and how much money you have.
He's not me
Private pilot, school includes CFII ratings as I progress, end game is getting out and going through WOFT in the army, back asswards approach but my brain do big smart dont worry.
There's literal infinite possibilities once you get cfii ratings, all you have to do is get your vouches or whatever from other instructors and you can start instructing more niche shit like tail wheel craft, water craft, dual engine, skiis, jet, whatever you want. Not to mention airlines need pilots, but that's a different story and not really the route I'm going to take

Ayyyyyyyyy. You ever mog someone on the other side of the table?

>implying normies can just pick up hockey and play

Yeah but I kind of dress like shit, and its hard to compete with some of the absolute fucking neckbeard units that play at my store.

Listening to police/fire radio scanners late at night and taking pictures of major incidents in your city, then selling the footage and pictures to local news stations. If nothing else, you'll get to see a lot of what your tax money goes towards.

Lol. I generally dont mog our players but will do any other fuckers that try to bungle our game space. Have had people try to take terrain while we were USING IT and I had to turn into a butthole for a few seconds.

I'm about to start learning iceskating tonight, going to see if I can get into figure skating just for fun.

I also organise and run an irl discussion group that meets fortnightly.

Elaborate

I miss my Muslim gymbros from college.

See: The movie Nightcrawler

Attached: 1549928694878.png (645x1260, 440K)

Hello nightcrawler

Do you actually do that or are you just referencing Nightcrawler?

Show me your collection

You can usually find apps for your phone that will let you listen to at least a couple of radio frequencies that emergency services use in your city. Turn on the app, drive somewhere central and listen for stuff that would be cool to go look at. Grab a coffee, drive around a bit, bring a friend along, learn stuff about what the different codes mean (especially when the fire department starts in, you'll want to know what kind of vehicles they're sending because it indicates how big a fire is). If you go somewhere where something interesting is happening, and if there are no real news crews, start filming. Contact somebody at a local news station, send them some samples of stuff you have, ask if they'd like it for the morning news.

Also Peter's job in pretty much every Spiderman and Netflix has a show about it called Shot in the Dark. In most cities you wouldn't need to have the crazy equipment those guys have though - but it would be fun to have it.

Actually do it, never seen Nightcrawler.

That's cool, it reminds me of this one user a long time ago from some board I forget that was a crime scene photographer. Made me want to do it but it seemed like something you just luck into and I don't even live in a big enough city for it.

Valuable hobbies:
Lifting
Programming
Electronics
Woodworking
Smithing
Cooking
Fighting (as long as you don't get concussed sparring)

Borderline:
Boardgames with friends
Music
Studio photography with goals and setup
Knitting/crocheting

Mostly usless
Singleplayer short and to the point videogames (exception, children who can't participate in better hobbies can use videogames to improve their logic and thinking)
Other photography

I play hunting horn, do yoga and go to the shooting range once a week. I am also a hunter. I never do those things all by myself so they kinda force me to socialise and meet new people.

Can you list more valuable hobbies? Like reading? I unironically found your list useful

>speaking another language
Oh I'm doing this on Jow Forums all the time and most people can't even tell I'm not a native speaker. God I even learned how to think in feet and pounds.

fbpb

uran exploration is only thing i actually do and maybe plants/gadening. also photography but thats hardy a hobby
interested in guns and cars but whatever im poorfag right now.

We're not allowed to have those in the times we live in anymore.
"hobbies" are a fucking meme
All there is is class war

>uran exploration
I'd explore uranus too

Are you also wealthy

Thanks. I'll check this out I guess, but you have more faith in me than I do.

I play edh and like to read. Also just getting into skateboarding when the weather gets better

Jow Forumslit/, Jow Forumssci/, or Jow Forumsout/.

Attached: BoardCombos.png (1440x1080, 125K)

>Square Bases
Gonna make it

/lit/ is a shit board that prefers intellectual posturing rather than actual discussion of books and the enjoyment of reading.

Does caring for my dog count as a hobby? I spend a lot of time training and chillin with her. Plus the walks help keep me fit. Everyone should get a dog.

I also have 2 parakeets and hand taming them is a p rewarding pasttime, but it's less Jow Forums

This sums up /sci/ and Jow Forums and /trv/ and /fa/ as well

guns
if you're a yuro then gg

Right now I don't do jack shit basically due to studies (getting a bachelor in IT/IS)

My current hobbies (besides lifting):
>Writing
I'm trying to improve my vocabulary and handwriting.
I mostly write fiction and poems which are quite garbage, but fun.
>Reading
Fiction and philosophy mostly.
Right now I'm just waiting to pick up Dune (should arrive soon).
>Math
I find learning to be interesting, and learning abstract concepts and solve advanced mathematical problems is pretty fun.

that's it, pretty much. I will occasionally play some video games as well, but it's goddamn boring after a while.

Hobbies I'm interested in picking up:
>Rock climbing
Even though I'm scared of heights, rock climbing builds good forearms and grip strength, which is very positive for weightlifting.
Also the social aspect is pretty nice.
>Smithing
I have always wanted to learn smithing as a young lad when I first got introduced to it by my grandpa.
Sadly he died when I was still young so he didn't get to teach me much.
>Learning a language
Russian, Japanese or Chinese interest me the most due to literary reasons.

If I ever move to USA, I would like to get into long range shooting.
Have you ever tried it before? Having to calibrate many variables before a shot sounds interesting

Attached: 02f.jpg (655x527, 59K)

Do you make money off stock trading? If so how?

>If I ever move to USA, I would like to get into long range shooting.
it can only really be done in more rural states with xbox hueg ranges or deserts or something like that. I pretty much only do handgun and rifle shooting, but those are still fun, its surprising how much skill it actually takes. Canada has lenient gun laws compared to Europe as far as I've heard, but I don't know too much about that.

ignore him, anyone whos been in stocks for the past 2 years has made money. if the market ever goes down literally everyone will suffer from it.

bouldering

Attached: file.png (1188x1028, 2.46M)

patrician tastes. how do i git gud though? i can barely send v2s

Beautiful, user. Haven't got the patience to paint miniatures myself, but respect for the effort you've put in.

just smith nigga lmao

Climb more faggot

When the market goes down you should buy more lol, it's easy money after it self-corrects

Yeah, I'm well aware of the range needed, but can't you for example rent a huge location from a landlord in order to meet the requirements needed?
Is that a common thing to do?
>I pretty much only do handgun and rifle shooting
Sounds pretty fun, m8
What's your favorite handgun?

EDH masterrace unite. Jund 4 lyfe blue fags out

Because you deserve better :)

Let me give you some advice.
Imagine the person you're infatuated with, or your ex, or whoever it is you want to respect you, watching your daily life.
Imagine them watching you when you lay in bed doing nothing while other people are working out, or hanging with friends, or learning a skill, or just walking around outside taking in life.
Imagine how bored they would be seeing that existence. Imagine how bored anyone would be sharing in that existence.
When I realized my life would be the most boring viewing experience ever, I started making some changes. Fill up that empty, boring time with something that either improves your standing in life (skill, education, fitness) or your happiness (hobbies, friends, walking in the woods, talking to family and people important to you)
This will help. It helped me.

>rock climbing 3-5 times a week (mostly boulder, but learning lead)
>snowboarding every couple weeks
>freelance design work/drawing and painting for fun/to sharpen my dull skills
>I plan and illustrate DnD campaigns for my friends back home

Gym
Studying (in my case, computer science/programming and music/guitar)
Occasionally hanging out with friends

Went yesterday, gonna make it a weekly thing , one question: how OFTEN can you climb and make decent progress, is once a week enough, with climbing related accessories ?

based and redpilled

I watch hockey, read, work on models, been picking up guitar again, do some home improvement stuff and yard work. Live with my gf but usually we do our own thing week nights. On weekends we hangout and go out to do whatever.

Based, I just bought this bitch to work on for the next couple of months. Gonna really take my time on it.

I suppose you could, again I live in a more urban area so I don't personally know anyone with a ton of land. Ranchers and farmers tend to own guns as well so they'd probably be willing to help you out with the land issue. You can also shoot on some federal BLM land.
>What's your favorite handgun?
S&W model 66-2. its a vintage .357 mag revolver I picked up from a pawnshop, lots of fun to shoot.

3 times a week assuming adequate recovery, 4 or 5 once your ligaments are strong after several months. The most difficult thing to overcome is the strain on finger ligaments. These take months to build up, so just rest appropriately when you feel inordinate finger strain. Avoid finger pockets and closed crimps early on, as these will fuck up your A2 ligaments and can cause bowstring injuries (look that up, it's scary shit, and it happens a lot).
Your skin will adapt quickly. Use tape if you pop a blister so you dont get blood or pus on the holds. Take an intro bouldering class, it'll greatly improve your footwork. Ask EVERYONE for beta. People live to share their knowledge and you will learn a ton about footwork, smearing, drop knees, figure 4s, etc etc fron experienced climbers.
Rest back on your skeletal strength instead of keeping your arms contracted and putting the strain on your biceps. Keep your dick to the wall as much as possible.

Reading philosophy and coming to the conclusion that nothing in this mortal life matters. Then reading Nietzsche and realize that life ain't that bad and there's greater purpose.
