Lifting weights >expensive, has to pay a gym or buy expensive equipment that takes a lot of space >builds feminine and slow legs >disproportionate, misshapen body due to excessive machine isolations >compulsive behaviors, counting calories and being autistic in general >not impressive >fucks up joints >self image problems >not functional, is just moving a fixed object through a fixed path >takes a long ass time to setup and train, powershitters rest up to 15 minutes between sets >zero conditioning >incentive to overbulk and to get fat >indoors where your chances of getting sick are high
Bodyweight >free, or you can purchase some rings and a doorway pull up bar for less than 100$, and it can be done anywhere >builds aesthetic and powerful legs >perfectly balanced body >just eat clean, no need to worry >one arm pull ups are much more impressive than uhhh I can sit down and get back up with a lot of weight on my back >strengthens joints and ligaments >improves self image >prepares you to real life situations, like scaling a fence, getting up, climbing, martial arts, etc. >can be done quickly and with zero setup >great conditioning due to circuits and lower rest intervals >incentive to stay lean so you can perform better >outdoors with test gains from the sun
Didn't read but that guy looks like he does gay porn.

Imagine not having a varied routine allowing for maximum strength, speed, flexibility, and overall athleticism. You're all going to die when the race war comes and you are unprepared.
>>expensive, has to pay a gym or buy expensive equipment that takes a lot of space Gear is not expensive if you think of it as 10+ year investment, I spent less than $100/year.
>>builds feminine and slow legs Nope. Cardio once a week keeps you fast.
>>disproportionate, misshapen body due to excessive machine isolations
So don't use machines. I don't.
>>compulsive behaviors, counting calories and being autistic in general
No relation to lifting. I don't count calories.
>>not impressive >>fucks up joints
Only if you idiot mode.
>>self image problems
Nope. Just keeping fit strong and healthy.
>>not functional, is just moving a fixed object through a fixed path
Free weights deliver very functional strength. As an example I went hiking with 50lb pack and it was easy due to lifting.
>>takes a long ass time to setup and train, powershitters rest up to 15 minutes between sets
So, read between sets.
>>zero conditioning
Not true if rep count is high enough. I do 20 reps and am plenty fit. Also HIIT cardio once a week.
>>incentive to overbulk and to get fat
Not at all. Only if you are reaching beyond what is possible
>>indoors where your chances of getting sick are high
Nonsense.
> Bodyweight
No-one actually sticks with this.

Calisthetics people straight up look like they're just out of prison. The only ones that look decent are gymnasts and the impressive ones combine that with some some weights for strength and vanity.
Daniel Anderson
Body weight/ Clean+Press, Deadlift, Front squat is the holy grail.
>expensive, has to pay a gym or buy expensive equipment that takes a lot of space kek >builds feminine and slow legs Oly guys have the most powerful legs.
Carter Lee
Sounds gay

In all seriousness could someone post or suggest a basic ring routine. I just joined a gym that has some and want to throw them into my workouts
While I like being able to do a one arm pull up. You still need to be able to lift stuff. Even being able to lift something that's like 70kg with ease is enough, just to be able to show off.
Dominic Evans
He still looks good
Carson Collins
I like both both quite a lot. I love rings, but I also love weights.

>>expensive, has to pay a gym or buy expensive equipment that takes a lot of space gym membership isn't expensive
>>builds feminine and slow legs how are muscular legs feminine?
>>disproportionate, misshapen body due to excessive machine isolations only if you're retarded
>>compulsive behaviors, counting calories and being autistic in general nothing wrong with counting calories, what, is it too much for you to handle?
>>not impressive every woman wants to fuck arnold and every man wants to be like him unless they are wimp faggots so I don't get your point
>>fucks up joints if you don't stretch and warmup, yeah
>>not functional, is just moving a fixed object through a fixed path being strong from weightlifting will help you with strength irl anyway
>>>takes a long ass time to setup and train, powershitters rest up to 15 minutes between sets and bodybuilders rest 30-90 seconds between sets so I don't get your point here
>>zero conditioning what?
>>incentive to overbulk and to get fat if you're retarded fuck who can't control himself, yeah
>>indoors where your chances of getting sick are high never got sick from going to the gym lol
I practice the unholy merger of weights and calisthenics. You are all outdated.

You seriously think anyone's gonna believe you that guy is famous, with that filename? Sure, man-hanging-off-bar definitely is one of the top bodyweight guys, sure.
> not smashing your dick to make nofap easier its fucking 2019, my dude

Wrong, they are only disgusted by very low body fat. Unless if you're referring to roidfreaks, who are a lot more way from this than just "any more muscle"
Samuel Wood
does it make more sense to progress to RTO dips from dips + RTO support holds or from doing progressively more difficult RTO pushups angles?
Kayden Howard
I would wanna know how u build legs with bunch of rings user
Bentley Jenkins
I know this is a bait post, but gymnasts also do weights for legs. Check routine from Christopher Sommer, one of top gymnastic coaches, it includes weighted lunges and weighted stretching.
To be fair, you can do a lot of shit with just a barbell and weight plates, so I’d say the best is bodyweight plus barbell exercises (cleans, presses, squats etc)
