Runner here. On Monday I ran 4 miles at 6 m/h. All was well until I woke up early Tuesday morning. I got excruciating pain we're I'm pointing with my finger. Decided to take it easy and didn't go to the doctors. On Thursday the paint felt even worse, went to the doctors got x-ray and there was no fracture. Anyone ever had this happen before? Laying in bed with ice on it. Fucking sucks and can't go to the gym. I've ran 5.5 miles in an hour with no problems, got nice adidas running shoes

poo in loo!
>adidas
Post a pic of these shoes. When I think of running brands, adidas isn't even on the radar.
Had em for a month now and no problem. They actually helped me reach several running goals
They don't look great in the way of support. For the next pair of shoes go to an actual running shop and tell them about your issue. They will watch your stride and stance and pick a shoe suited for you. You might have some kind of pronation problem that requires more support. I have high arches and tend to pronate so I have always been steered toward asics or saucony.
RICE it for a week. 200mg of ibuprofen three times a day too. Lightly massage the area and flex/extend your big toe throughout the day.
When you start back build a better base. Run for short distances even if it feels easy and gradually build up.
>4 miles at 6mph
>runner
Since when? Did you start running yesterday? Most untrained fat highschoolers can run this pace
7-8mph is normal for a fit adult male
Been running since last year, I started at 3.5 and build myself up
Had nice nikes and same thing happened to me
Went to running shop they fitted me with shoes and insoles and now I have no problems
>200mg of ibuprofen
this is the dosage for 12 year old, user, real dosage is 400-800mg
800mg that's what they gave ne
Well he looks brown so I figured he was mexican and small.
Close, Salvadorian and 5'5
Best shoes for running ive had are either Hoka or Saucony everrun. The hokas are more comfy though.
Did you use a double layer of socks (none cotton)? Did you run on asphalt? U know running on a hard surface is a bad idea.
One layer of cocks, treadmill
Dude stay off of treadmills. They are absolutely awful for your body while being a poor substitute for real running.
>one layer of socks
Yea don't do that. Try a base layer of merino-wool socks and on top of them another layer of wool/merino-wool or half merino-wool/synthetic blend.
You might think this makes it more inconvenient to run or it makes you sweat but by some black magic shit the opposite is the case.
>treadmill
Don't know how smart that is either, i guess it's not as bad as concrete, stone or asphalt but what you ideally want is a dirt/grass surface for impact absorption.
A runner I dated wound up getting bone spurs and it started with similar symptoms. If you are in it just for cardio, I recommend something less impact like swimming or rowing. If you want to keep running, look at getting more support-inserts have worked wonders for me.
>3.5 mph
How tall are you? Most guys who are 6 foot plus walk at the 5-6kmh mark
>muh running is high impact meme
If any of you retards bothered to stop heel striking you'd realize that the foot and leg are one big spring.
>no one mentioned typo
Hahaha I had taken some shrooms while I made this post. This have me the lol I needed
Daily reminder that running carries one of the highest rates of injury of any fitness-focused activity. Running is a ticking time bomb to an injury, all the way from a simple sprain or chafing up to an ACL tear, fracture to total destruction of knee cartilage.
>Hurr Durr born to run
Yeah and bees are born to sting, they get fucked up if they do.
