Don’t have a “best workout” but easy things to work on are pack marches or weighted walks/runs, decent core strength,upper body should be trained for explosive movements and quick reaction speeds, endurance running or any long distance cardio. Also try prepare yourself mentally; nothing can prepare you for taking someone’s life regaless of how worthless it is, try desensitise yourself to over the top violence and killing, read books like star ship troopers, Enders game and the art of war. Could go on and on.
