What's the etiquette about recording people at the gym? There is this one guy who is about mid 20's, appears autistic, carries around a monstrous gym bag, but I have only seen him do some really awkward Tai Chi moves and WWE type elbows where he slaps his elbows when he throws them. I have wanted to record him for so long, I have just been afraid of getting caught.

Since the bar doesn't seem to have any bands attached to it, I think it would be harder because when he pushes the barbell away, it pushes him down, since there's no solid surface holding him in place.

Sodium (Na+) is what nerve ends use to communicate with each other, when one nerve is stimulating another it'll release Na+ into the channel between the two, which binds to receptors on the surface of the other and causes a chain reaction which results in sodium being released at the other end.

So if you salt *really* fresh raw meat you're stimulating the nerve endings of the muscle and you'll cause it the muscle to contract. You can watch videos of people doing this with frog legs and octopus tentacles; this just looks weird because it's a cross-section.

If you salt meat that's been dead for a while you won't see the same effect because as part of the decomposition process the creatine phosphate and ATP that the cells can readily use gets cannibalised as the cells try to stay alive like they normally do, but because there's no input of oxygen and nutrients more fuel doesn't get created to replace what's spent; so it eventually just stops responding.

This is so wrong I don't even know how to explain it.
This doesn't make it easier or harder because the potential energy he's giving the bar is the same as if he was on a bench -- his reach or how far away from his chest he can hold the bar is all that matters.
However, the setup is highly unstable and he needs to use his core a lot just so he doesn't fall off.

For what it's worth, he only moves up and down during the bar's acceleration (or deceleration, which is just negative acceleration), and even so those are fractions of an inch. When the effect of the bar's acceleration has passed (i.e. when the bar is still for a second), he will be at the same height from the floor no matter if the bar is on his chest or further away from him.
Basically this exercise is useless unless you want to try out your core's ability to balance you while you're doing very poor benches.
