Abdominal muscles are a different type than most of the other muscles in your body. They can be worked every day. Consequently, there can be no thinking involved in programming for them. You could just do as much as you wanted, there is no recovery requirement that would necessitate a split of some sort.

Muhammed Ali would do crunches every day "until it hurt."

If you want abs you're better off fixing your diet. Some bodybuilders wont do them much for fear that their waistline will get thicc.
