First of all I am mentally ill. Second of all cake, fried chicken, and fried fish tastes better than veggies and makes you feel happier. The fat and sugar makes your brain happy.
That's because you don't have much pride or care for yourself. That's not something that happens overnight but if you work to overcome small things you'll eventually start believing you deserve it. If you treat your body like shit part of that is you don't feel like you've earned the right to feel better, and you probably havn't. Pick any positive habit and do it every day for a week, then you'll see you can actually change yourself and you'll feel encouraged to do more. And you can.

This dude was 350lbs living with his mother at 26, working minimum wage spraying for pests, basically a miserable incel. Eventually he became a navy seal and broke the world record for pullups (4000 something in 24 hours). It's a journey, don't believe you will feel the way you do now if you put in even a little bit more effort and build it gradually.

Then you didn't set up sustainable habits. Crash dieting makes you feel garbage, but if you did it right then you wouldn't have relapsed so hard. You have to let go of the number and maintain momentum in things that will pay off. If you lose weight but didn't build your self worth through good habits, you'll eventually lose momentum and go back to where you were.
Fat gives you an extra cushion body to sit on and cushions you if you fall. There are lots of clothes bigger than extra large now like 2x and 3x. I'd rather die 10 years earlier than die of dementia in a nursing home.
