Do you do cardio?

Do you do cardio?

Running fucks up my knees and ankles like nothing. Mountainbiking is a lot of fun tho.

Yeah

you need to either get better shoes, run on softer terrain, not be fat, or all of the above

>all of the above
>above

its literally to the left.

Nice 'tism.

I'm on a bike racing team, so yeah

yeah and you should too you fat huffing powerlifter wannabe

LISS 4 lyfe

Every. Single. Day.

I just started. When does it get easier?

Like when can I run and not be huffing in 15 seconds?

Yes. Cardio is an essential aspect to health and fitness.

Only manchildren refuse to do it

What part of 'run at a sustainable pace' do you people not understand?
SLOW THE FUCK DOWN if you're getting out of breath.
Aerobic endurance training takes TIME and PATIENCE and DISCIPLINE.

i only do 5 mins of warm up on the treadmill with 15%incline before legs workout and hit the bag for 5-10 minutes at maxxx intensity after training

I fap with both hands while using feet to stabilize the dildo.

not even that much discipline you should be at 30 minutes in like 8 weeks tops

these fat gamers are unwilling to feel discomfort so they cope with 'bearmode'

This. I am sick of these retards running full pelt like sonic then complaining about how cardio is terrible.

I'm going to make a Starting Cardio programme to educate these fucktards.

I haven't done cardio since I first started my bulk. I was having too hard a time eating enough to make gains and trying to get out of anorexic mode to do cardio on type of lifting and eating enough. When I'm finally 150 lbs and at a "healthy" weight I'll start doing cardio again. I miss cardio a lot. That shit was more fun than lifting.

>not even that much discipline you should be at 30 minutes in like 8 weeks tops
No bully, but by that statement I'm not so sure you even understand it yourself.
I'm on a bike racing team and have been at it for literally 10 years and self-train so I understand endurance training.
Literally anyone should be able to find a sustainable pace for a 30 minute effort.
The key is finding the pace sustainable for them. It might be a 12 minute pace; it might even be a 15 minute pace, just faster than a walk, but with a running/jogging gait instead of a walking gait.
The whole point is to *sustain* it; that's where the 'discipline' part comes in: you steel yourself to continue doing it, adapting to the capabilities of your body at the moment, instead of just giving up.
Over time you find it easier and easier, and your pace can increase; but it takes weeks and weeks of consistent effort, and the mental discipline to make yourself continue. That's where the average denizen of Jow Forums fails: they refuse to build the *mental discipline* to continue the effort long enough and often enough to see the benefits.
>it's TOO BORING!
My dudes, you all need to get over that.

I don't blame you, but C25k (Couch to 5 kilometer) has been around a long time and should be a good starting point for just about anyone with the possible exception of the seriously morbidly obese who might actually injure themselves. Even they can walk for 30 minutes straight without hurting themselves, though.

I also think that many Anons of Jow Forums would benefit from using a HRM (heartrate monitor). An arbitrary constant heartrate of 120bpm or so should be sustainable for just about anyone, monitoring HR keeps you from over-exerting.
Later on if they stick with it and want to expand their endurance horizons, they can use the HRM for interval training purposes, and really build some serious speed and endurance.

1 HIIT running session per week. Could do 2, not sure if its worth it.

I run a mile every day, compression socks make a world of difference.

Yes I do! Just got back from a 10 mile run. Feels great!

People *new* to endurance training *should not do HIIT*, they should do LISS for a couple months in order to get the basic level of fitness necessary to prevent potential injury, and besides which if you have a decent aerobic base to start with you get more out of HIIT.
Most of you who talk abot HIIT don't really understand it in context with overall aerobic endurance training. No bully, no insult intended, most all of you have been misled by some articles that gloss over the subject.

i did some interval training earlier this week and i'm going to run a 20K tomorrow morning

Thanks for the reply, I was actually going to do heart rate monitoring (tell them to stick in zone 2) 15-20 minute sessions to begin with.

Maybe some HIT stuff later on when they've caught the bug.

Does fencing count as cardio? (Sabre)

how do you not just pass out after all that?

(You), see: and and

it never gets easier, you only get faster

If sex counts, than yes.

3 days a week usually 2 5k's and a sprinting session

Yes, 3x a week. 2000m rowing to finish of my workout.

based. Incline walking 30 mins every day in the mornings, fasted. Every bodybuilder does it, and you should too.

Yes. I get my 4000 met minutes a week to reduce my risk of disease... don't you?
