Listen lad let's say theres a sheet of metal, if you hit it at a low speed you wont even make a dent in it but if you go full throttle then you'll just smash through it easily, it's called hitting the object at a speed greater than it's density. Same applies to parachuting into the ground, its a basic law of mass science, hell if you dont use a parachute you'll have a softer landing if you go fast enough.
