Cuts gone bad

I’ve never seen a cut gone wrong. Bulks gone bad, sure. But I’ve never seen a before and after of someone where they ended up losing all or a considerable amount of their muscle on a cut. You see muscle loss fear mongered everywhere, and while I KNOW it’s real, I think the standards set by Mr. Olympia sized pros is unrealistic for average lifters. So post up any you know of or yourself I’d youve experienced it.

You will lose strength, every ten pounds I lose it's another 15 pounds gone on my bench pr. My muscles arent noticeably smaller though. I think you only lose size if you fuck up your protein intake.

So what I’m gathering is that it’s rare to actually fuck up a cut, that if one has the will power it would be possible to cut more than 2lbs a week.

Lots of natties look worse after a cut. Maybe not in pumped pics with good lighting but in every situations they look like skeletons.

Doing something wrong if you are losing that much strength, try up your protein, I've even made strength gains on my two recent cuts.

True, I am at 100kg 1.83cm at the moment and should seriously start cutting but are to undisciplined and got memed into believing I lose to much mass. gonna have to join the /fat general soon

No ive actually been lifting since 2015, but I like that your prime example of a cut gone wrong for the average person is the fucking rat king who many of us speculate has klinefelters, a “man” who makes more excuses than boogie. Like I said, I’ve yet to see a bad cut where the lifter continued to lift and kept protein high.

Nigger my metabolism is shit, I have no choice but to drink milk, eat a ton of pasta, and throw in some ice cream to put on weight. I've tried to bulk on chicken, broccoli, and potatoes before. Shit nearly bankrupted me I was buying so much and I wasn't even gaining weight.

Absolutely man, but regardless of what I do people are always gonna be retarded and eithe rdurty bulk or bulk past 15%. Even then people seem to think cutting from 15% to 10% will result in muscle loss
It’s not metabolism man, if it was you’d be able to bulk on pizza and pop tarts without getting super fat. You can bulk on good shit for cheap, just gotta be smart about it.

You used to be able to get these huge rotisserie chickens for like $8 from Publix and Walmart, again cheap, and it’s like 3k calories. The Publix ones are way smaller now though.

Everyone looks better when they're more cut, and everybody looks worse when they gain more bf.

If you're skinny and you get cut, you're still skinny but you will be more defined and have better facial aesthetics. Your muscles will pop more and you'' appear more athletic.

If you're bulk mode and cut, you will look way better. Leaner people appear larger and also your facial aesthetics will increase dramatically. Just like the guy in OPs pic.

You will lose strength, but who gives a fuck about how much you bench/squat/deadlift anyways. It's not like this strength really transfers to real life much. IDK, I mostly lift for looks so I never let myself get above 12%. Honestly think that going above 12% is retarded because it makes your face worse and you lose that definition that makes you look like a lifter.

I always cringe at those 18% bf guys in tanks flexing around everywhere lol. These dudes are just fat and think theyre 'big'. IMHO theres no reason to ever go above 12%. 'Bulking' is cope for not having self control when eating. Anybody can just eat a ton of food and lift, but it takes self control to cut down and become aesthetic. You really stand out in the crowd when you're below 12% bf.

100% man. I’m op btw. I bulked knowing it was a cope to return to the old eating habits I had left behind me after 2 years of eating right. It wasn’t worth it. I’m actually trying an extreme cut like I did in the past, but geared more towards a lifting lifestyle. Basically a psmf but with supplemental carbs for workout and some veggies for nutrients. Only gonna be eating 1300 calories of bananas, oats, eggs, ground turkey and veggies the rest of this month. Daily cardio, HIIT 2x a week. Lifting 2-3x. I think at most I’ll eat more on lift days.

But even if muscle loss turns out to be actually be a problem and not hyped up like I thought (I doubt it), I just want to be lean again. I do not mind ending up skelly and needing to start over. As a skelly I could get laid on easy mode. Now I need to actually have game.

I feel the exact same way. I used to be permabulk mode. I was around 17-20% bf and "big" ~200lbs 5"11. After a breakup I decided to cut hard. Ended up getting to around 13-15% and sat there for a while.

Recently, I realized I was getting tired of lifting and needed a break (Been lifting heavy for probably 8 years). So I started only doing cardio and not eating much. Got down to probably 9-10% bf and honestly felt like I lost no muscle at all, in fact, I look way bigger in the mirror. This is just with cardio and diet.

Looking back at photos of myself at 17% feels like looking at a completely different person. This is an 'average' bf but got damn did I look so much worse. I get a fuckton of female attention now that im this lean man. I'm a pretty awkward dude, but also blessed enough to be around an 8/10 (maybe even pushing 8.5) while this lean. Atleast girls sleep with me regularly now - keeping a girl is a whole nother story for me though. Can't lift away my awkwardness but damn if I keep meeting girls this fast I'll eventually meet a hot one whos just as awkward as me.

Dont give up your cut bro, my life is so much better and yours will be too.

I start to notice my clothes fitting different. Drives me crazy. I keep adjusting my shirts and have to go an extra notch on my belt I don't intentionally cut. I get busy and eat less. No one notices but me. I was skinny my whole life and want the size.
