The new PT at my gym is fucking insane
I was doing my work sets for bench with 115kg while he was watching a guy do curls

He must've thought I was maxing out to impress him or something, because after my first set he told me he'll work in with 3pl8

I was caught by surprise because the guy is like 1.68, doesn't look big. But I thought that maybe he can half-bench it

I was ready to spot him when I saw he couldn't unrack the bar at all. I knew there that I would have to curl his bench

He got the bar down, didn't even get close to his chest and then I had to curl the weight. It wasn't easy, from how tired I was after that the pt can maybe do 110kg
And then the insane motherfucker actually went for another rep. I don't know why he trusted me with his life like that. I was barely able to get the bar off of him

After that he half benched 2pl8 for 5 reps

Manipulating two independent prongs is harder, no one who knows anything about belts would recommend a double over a single

“try harder” is the powerlifting version of “clean your room”

If you're having trouble getting a double prong belt off, you better be squatting over 600 pounds.

If you brace against your belt then you're gonna stretch the holes, like with any other belt

A double prong reduces the stretch. It doesn't matter if you are going to replace your belt every couple of years, I just think you're being a giant faggot for making such a big deal out of double prong being harder to get off

I fucked around for a few months after my linear gains on starting strength ended, and i'm still at the same 120kg max. can /plg/ recommend me a squat program so i can start making some progress again? i'm doing nuckol's 28 free programs for bench and deadlift, which are still working. it's just his squat program that isn't working for me.

Don't run ph3, and yes, you can just run the squat portion of TM. It's a pretty adaptable template that you can change to fit your needs so long as you stick to the structure of the program e.g. having a volume day and an intensity day (recovery day is optional, I personally got nothing out of it), etc.
