So i know someone close to me who doesn't eat a lot of food, and when he does, it's really basic shit, i'm going to list the entirety of what he eats down below >toast >marmite >chips >crisps >roast potatoes (so basically anything potato-y thats crispy on outside but fluffy inside) >chocolate biscuits >bits of chocolate >margarita pizza and occasionally (and i mean once every few months or so) he might eat a sausage or two
so i guess what i'm trying to figure out here is how the fuck is he still alive right now? I thought the human body needed a certain amount of materials to build a body out of. Like you need the carbs and fat for energy, but your body is built out of the protein that you eat, but if that's the case then how is he still walking around? he's always been funny about food and never even goes near anything outside of what i've listed, so how does he get enough protein and essential nutrients to maintain a human body?
can the human body really live off of solely marmite toast and pizza? or is he in cohoots with some spooky powers?
If you're young the body is able to forgive mistakes. It will eventually come down to him when he gets older.

what does marmite taste like? is it worth trying it?
Grayson Lewis
i get that but i was just wondering if anyone knew about a mechanism, unless the human body is able to frantically jam carbs together to make amino acids or something. like i can't think of the last time i've seen him eat something outside of this list

I have a friend like that, eats nothing but ice cream and waffles unless he goes out to eat with our apartment, in which case he'll eat whatever we do. Whenever the time comes that we're not all going out together once/twice a week, I think he'll starve to death
Ryder Long
pretty good desu, it's a really strong taste, i can't put my finger on what it is but marmite toast is nice. i wouldn't go to the trouble of ordering any in a different country though

The body is able to synthesise certain vitamins and proteins itself, which is why the vitamin industry is mostly bullshit. You may not be getting enough of something in particular but the body can convert materials to make up for it. You won't be thriving and you definitely can't build muscle or manage your weight on it, plus there's some vitamins you can't synthesise (b12 I can remember is one, hence why vegans need to supplement) but otherwise you'll be ok

Man, if you eat like a DYEL your body will adapt to a DYEL. Eventually you'll be able to live on 1500< calories and you'll feel cold easily. Salty shit. Only straya cunts can digest it.

>How the fuck do chronically malnourished people survive? They don't, I knew a guy like this who literally died from catching a cold

If you're going to try marmite or vegemite (far superior to marmite) make sure you butter the HELL out of the toast and then apply the vegemite sparingly, treat it like you would treat hot English mustard. They're nothing alike but the flavour profile intensity is comparable

Marmite is from the UK you dumb cunt t. aussie

He would probably be in a way worse shape if marmite wasnt part of his staple. He might be getting more B vitamins than the average person which is excellent for health.
Jason Mitchell
yeah that's what worries me about him, he's built like a twiglet, low energy and shit. he's always been funny with his food, like he won't touch anything other than this, says it makes him insta-wretch, how do you fix that?
it's important to make sure you don't butter it too much, and apply a fair amount of marmite, otherwise you're in for a soft let down
can confirm
Probably true for a salty black sludge it's pretty good for you

UK, Australia. Who cares? Everything is united under the Great banner of the commonwealth. Anyways my mistake was that I mistook marmite with vegemite.

makro nutrients are:1.fat 2.carbs 3.protein or rather amino acids
The body can change all of them into the other except for a 9 out of the 20 amino acids called essential amino acids. He gets enough fat and carbs and can synthesise the non essential amino acids out of them.
I imagine that you only need a few grams of those essential amino acids a day to survive and those are in small amounts in the processed foods that you posted.
That or he is snacking on some other more protein dense foods that you are not aware of.

Fair enough, i knew the body could do this but i didn't know how much it can. like is there a time limit on that shit where his bodys eventually gonna break down or is there a way out i spose, it's just he eats more like a resident at hotel auschwitz or something, i would expect him to look a bit more holocausty (hes a skinny fucker but not holocaust skinny)

It doesn't take much to be nutritionally adequate. You can live off milk and potatoes only well enough. Plenty of people in the world exist on just rice and beans. Or rice and a handful of whatever.
The pizza will supply a bit of vitamin C from the tomato sauce. Cheese will give protein. Chocolate will have milk, protein. It's not great, but is it survivable? Sure.

I survived on a couple pieces of toast and sips/water for a few months while I was playing Counter Strike competitively. I lost a lot of weight to be fair but I wasn't doing much other than playing video games and riding my bike around.
Julian Garcia
i know this might sound crazy but plant foods have protein. even toast has protein in it.
