>going 5-6 days a weeks >getting the protein and eating mountains of chicken >not getting big >deadlit stuck at 90 kg >ohp at 1 plate >bench at 65 kg
What the fuck do i do? Everything feels pointless, literally lift until my eyesight gets dark and i fall down on the floor and convulse for a few seconds. WHY AM I NOT GETTING BIIIIIIIG
t. on and off lifter for 2 years and serious for 6 months
Eat more. If you have to eat a little bit of junk food to gain weight it’s fine as long as you’re eating enough protein.
Carson Young
there's no way you have a 1pl8 ohp with those other numbers
Hunter Perez
Was the same situation OP
Fixed it by getting on a 3 day program going Monday Wednesday Friday and sticking to the strength specifically while doing minimal isolation at the end of the main workout, you know, like lateral raises.
You really need to do this if you want to gain strength.
David Bell
Ohp 60kg Bench 65kg Something is off Are u sure u know what 1pl8 means?
Aaron Johnson
what program do you recommend?
Daniel King
I have but i can only do like 2 in a row, been doing 15 kg these last 2 weeks with a few max thrown in the end, probably overtrain ohp comared to the rest because it's my favorite exorcise Yes 20 kg each side
Jose Perez
This one.
You can always go back to a brosplit or PPL when you get to a strenght level you’re happy with
why is it called one plate when you add two? one plate clearly means you add one 20kg to one side. eat more, rest more op. go 3xweek, try gain speed by dropping your load 20% and work up from there.
Christian Smith
How the fuck is your OHP 1pl8 when your Bench and deadlift are complete shit? Explain.
My deadlift is 130kg my bench 80kg all for reps and my OHP only 45kg and I'm 65kg bodyweight 5 ft 8
Whats your weight and height
Angel Rivera
Ss/sl No need for memesplits
Cooper White
thanks man
Tyler Reed
>back squat never gonna make it bro
David Lopez
Get your back squat to 140kg for 5 and you’ll automatically have at minimum a 100kg Front Squat for 8-10
Anthony Smith
You are push pressing
Jaxson Bailey
Its hard to properly wormchad on front squats
Robert Smith
Whats the consensus on this program? Is it actually better than SS SL and ICF? Only 9 sets of squats over 2 weeks? I would love to do it but I feel like it's not enough?
Hudson Murphy
rest more especially sleep more if you arent getting 8+h
Zachary Adams
you need mountains of carbs
Josiah Russell
It’s for strength optimisation upto an intermediate level, you know 100lbs chin-ups, 200lbs Press, 300lbs bench, 400lbs squat, 500lbs deadlift, it’s not maximise muscle mass gains.
A someone whose done SS, SL and Jow Forumss GreySkull Linear Progression routine, I would say /fits/ routine works best. Doing 2x5 + 1x5+ AMRAP set just seems to work better than a flat out 3x5 or 5x5.
David James
Wait I just realised its not even AxBxAxx but still only 12 sets of squats over 2 weeks?
Jace Miller
SS and SL don’t have AMRAP sets
Austin Nelson
I cant even bench 1 plate but i can deadlift 120kg. Am i becoming T-Rex mode or is he the strange one.
Hudson Taylor
u both
Parker Gray
Are you a lanklet? It was the same for me when I started out, slow bench progress but rapid deadlift progress. Just gotta do more bench + accessories and eat more, bro.
Luke Walker
Checked them.
Ye im a lanklet, slowly trying get out skinnyfatness, i have had very little upperbody progression so far.
Nolan Reyes
hey mishima. what r u thingken about
Gavin Nelson
dunno. St sebastion i gues
Robert Thompson
SIP and steel
Hudson Turner
This. 1 plate == 20 kg / 45 lbs 60 kg would be 2 plates + bar (which you usually shouldn't count though)
Caleb Morgan
Srsly how much so you sleep each day OP?
James Rodriguez
This isn't true, is it? I have always been under the impression that one plate was 20 kg on each side, like 100% sure
Cooper Jenkins
Because that ist right
Juan Morales
Hahaha, are you stupid? Why would you even assume that? A plate is a plate and that's 20 kg, if you have 60kg then that's 60kg - 20 kg = 40kg extra which is two plates.
Gabriel Nguyen
isn't*
Eli Reed
Iktf bro I'm stuck at 4-5 reps of 60 lb dumbells for the shoulder press. Maybe because I do it only once a week compared to chest presses.
Anyway have any personal experience here of whether or not shoulders respond better to higher or lower reps?
Wyatt Cooper
I respond a lot better to 3 times a week compared to 5-6. My body just needs that time to fully recover, even if I feel I could lift the next day. What seems to be key for me is consistency, getting quality workouts in and then resting properly. Every now and then I also take a week or two off and those are the times when I actually feel I'm making the most progress. Of course we all want to get as big and as strong as quickly as possible, but lifting is a real test of patience and dedication. Basically, take your time to find out what works for you and stick to it until it doesn't work anymore.
