Honestly zero percent chance you’re not a lunatic if you listen to nothing while running.
And not a lunatic in any kind of good way. More like the dirty high school kid who did ROTC with 100% intensity
>listen to math rock while running
>cadence goes to shit
Ever try jogging in 9/8 time?
100% chance if you listen to music while you run, you're a hobby jogger.
there's nothing better than listening to music while running
No serious runner listens to music while they run...
You misspelled "more retarded".
>that guy who runs
Kindly define serious for me.
20+ mpw
So pic related was my Sunday run it was one of 5 runs I did that week it was easy pace and a typical week for me.
Not only did I listen to music I used a running app that I Interrupts your music with an audiobook where the characters talk to you so you can pretend you're a runner doing missions in post zombie apocolypse world.
I placed 7 in the last road race I took part in and fully expect to make it to the podium in at least one race this year based on my improvements(admitatly the races intend to win are rather small)
I run between 35 and 55 km per week and intend to further increase this number
When my "hype song " started playing during my last half marathon I pretty much went full retard I have almost no memory of the last km I just vagualy recall sprinting past people despite having hurt my ankle at the beginning of the race I am told however that I growled at the people people cheering me on.
Would you consider me a serious runner?
Forgot pic
Hope you know you're a tremendous faggot.
I’m sorry, son, you have the ‘tism
Do you listen to music on your phone?
I feel weird holding it in my hand and listening through wired earbuds while running
>that guy who doesnt play a one man band while running
>not listening to cute energetic japanese idol music
ngmi
Yeah but I will be switching to Bluetooth soon so I can puty phone further away when running I currently have a pair of Phillips running headphones they are ok and fit compfy used regular buds before those Wich was a bad idea running shreds normal buds fast (at least in my experience).
>5'+ per km
> serious runner
It could be OK if you were a woman.
This is what you write on the subject of winning competitions and increasing training volumes:
> will
> intend to
> expect
This is how you describe your achievements:
>I hurt my ankle
Nigga, you are majorly retarded. Listening to musik is the absolute fucking best.
Trail running for 1-2 hours while listening to prog-rock / concept albums is so incredibly good. When do you have the time to spend 45 minutes on music without any distractions? (see youtube.com
You run in spring and listen to Beethoven's 6th.
You run down hill in winter. Twigs and frozen leaves are crunching below the snow. You listen to melodic death metal and feel like your ancestors tracking some saber-toothed cats.
It's summer, the sun is shinning and you listen to classic rock, punk rock, folk, whatever you like.
Music complements the whole running experience so much it is not even funny. I feel more sadness than actual anger for you.
5/10 I was actually butthurt enough to type a response explaining what's wrong with your post.
Suffice to say I have been improving for years and am continuing to do so.
Easy pace
This was meant for
Podrunner.com for anyone looking for good running music
>That guy who runs on a treadmill with zero incline
You fucking wot m8
What's wrong with being a hobby jogger?
>being a serious runner
Just as a head up I have JBL bluetooth headset and the connection fucks up everytime the antenna touches my body
>my girlfriend is literally a national cross country champion and listens to music while she runs
Nothing at all.
Have a video of beloved running coach Jack Daniels explaining the benefits of easy running.
>running to classical music
>serenade for wind band
>adjusts to the 11/8
>switches to 7/8 for three measures
>now to 13/8
>back to 11/8
I must have looked like a retard
Thanks I've been planning on getting Phillips run frees because I like the wired one and Theo have an open acoustic design ( for to hear cars with)
This is literally false. I know several internationally competitive runners and they all listen to music. Yeah, they’re Canadian so they’re not world champion runners, but they’re still extremely serious, top 0.01% skilled runners. Anybody who doesn’t listen to music while they run because “serious runners don’t do that” is seriously deluded.
21km tho
Who gives a shit
Post her body.
Thank god I wasnt born as this faggot
Oh fuck off. Listening to music while running hypes the run up even more. I did 10 miler on Sunday at ~7:47 mile pace.
>No serious runner listens to music while they run...
This saturday I'll run 30km with my earbuds, buddy. Are You a serious runner? What did you meant with this? Here's your YOU anyways.
I was on a state winning cross country team in HS
I beg to differ
That's just an invitation to get robbed or hit by a car.
Not that user, but, you could buy one of those neoprene phone holders. I strap it to my biceps and the cord goes up to my sleeve. Works for me.
>not listening to your favorite tunes whenever the fuck you want
>being this pathetic
Bruhs, I was doing half-marathons everyday and I got injured(runner's knee on my right one). How do I strengthen my knees and avoid injury? My form is already 'perfect'.
>inb4 don't overtrain
Dean Karnazes runs a marathon everyday at age 56 and his knees are still in shape, David Goggins runs at least 10 miles every morning and cycles for more, he's still in great shape and is 210 pounds.
I have a fucked up knee, buddy. partial rupture of the tendon or whatever the jew doc was trying to scare me with. I started jogging then sprinting then jog again. You gotta make sure your knee are used to the stress again. I had to drop everything in the past 5 years(BMX and Bike sponsorship) due that injury.
All good now, Ive been doing lots of HIIT/Cardio twice a day now, back to boxing an bike trail. And the doc back then was trying to get me into a heavy cirurgy.
Do things at your own time. Sorry for the blog, keep it up, dude.
>half marathons everyday
There’s your answer unfortunately.
How does it feel to be out of breathe after going up a flight of stairs fatty?
Maybe you have bad knee genetics. Make sure you’re falling not jumping.
This guy runs seriously
PRs?
Here are mine
4:29 mile
15:52 5k
26:12 8k
Split the runs into doubles if you're just trying to get more miles
6 mile morning run
7 mile afternoon run
Something like this should lighten the load on your knees while still allowing you to run higher mileage
>15:52 for a 5k!!
First question: are you black?
If not, please tell me how you got to that stage. I've been running for the past 3 months and can't beat a 24 minute 5k.
(Yes I'm slow as fuck but I don't know how to improve)
age?
height?
weight?
previous experience running?
any aerobic sports in childhood?
anyone to run with?
has anyone ever coached you?
unironically the best invention for runners
>not listening to some eurobeat while running and believing you're a car
Ngmi.
>those retards who listen to music while grocery shopping.
Seen so many of these people run into other people and walk out in front of people moving pallets of stock. Why does everyone want to be oblivious to their environment? And then they look all mad when THEY run into someone lol so stupid. I just want to snap the cord on those ridiculously oversized headphones for them and say “you’re welcome retard”.
Not that user but I need help as well
>23
>5'9
>170lbs
>No to all 3
I'm struggling to use my hips n glootes when running my calves are killing me
K... no one is posting in the running shoe thread so reposting. I've been told you should run in a very flat shoe because of natural mechanics of the foot ie nike free runs... but they seem like they would wreck your knees joints and the such due to no absorption tech. Adidas ultra boost look super comfy and I want some. What are some other opinions? Hokka, nike Pegasus 35 turbo, Brooks, acics?
Tfw 17 minute 5k carried by preworkout and tasty tunes. If I take my headphones out I get the pleasure of listening to cars. Fuck this thread desu
>genuinely fucking love running
>burn over 100 calories per mile
I have to eat so fucking much to maintain my weight, this shit sucks
the fuck would I run for when I have a car
Larp
Get kinvaras brah
Hmm thanks man.
Asics are good too, adidas are my go to for running shoes. Duramo series, CF racer and LITE racer series as well.
Too bad Apple killed these.
Now we are stuck with mugging around our phones to listen to music.
> serious runner
But listening to anime/eurobeat music while running improves my times.
As far as I understand, user. You should deadlift and squat on flat sole shoes, not run. There's ton of online running coach tips on how to improve and how to "find" a propper running shoes for you. Have a look at running warehouse website for tips.
Ran 6k yesterday listening to this
youtu.be
4th generation nanos are on eBay. I have backups... I just need that tactile response of clicking.
Truth
I don't run with music. Only a watch and a HR monitor.
I don't want to deal with carrying my phone. I don't want to deal with switching songs. I don't like having a unintentional timer going as I know how long the songs are generally (my watch only shows mileage and HR) .
Without music I can focus on my surroundings, focus on my running, disconnect from online for a while, enjoy being outside, remain more alert, and take in the skyline as I go on a run.
Just because somebody's knees stand up of certain pressures, doesn't mean that yours will.
Yea the ultra boost look super comfy but a lot of people discount them because the whole Kanye thing and so many people wear them as dailys. I guess the best thing for me to do is to go to an actual running store in person. Just don't want to be screwed by some know it all sales rep trying to sell me some bs shoe and looks down on my because I'm a noobie. I would be doing short runs like 5ks to up my endurance/stamina. Maybe practice sprints too or interval training for the same reason?
People who listen to music while running are 412% more likely to be hit by a car.
Until I got used to running up to 10km at a fast pace I trained sprint early in the morning and moderate speed at night. HIIT was a great helper too, just to keep the stamina up, now I run easily +20km a day.
What are track fields?
What are parks with the running lane?
What is a threadmill?
Stop trying to give people shit, get out of your butt and do something, I bet all you do is sit in your couch and hate on peoples lifestyles, and you're probably a diabetic faggot.
Running in city? Headphones. Running in environment? No headphones.
It's this simple guys
>What is a threadmill?
