No progress

hello fit

as you can judge from my picture , i feel i literally made zero progress, my diet is good, i eat healthy 95% of the time. I lift heavier than in 2019 than i did in 2018. But still i feel my muscles are not growing and im not losing body fat

I count my calories , i have to eat about 1800 calories a day to lose fat , i sometime eat 1500.

According to the navy body fat calculator i'm at 15% body fat

I hit my macro goal all the time (145g of proteins a day)

What should I do ? Should i start bulking? then cut again in a couple of months?

thanks fit

What are your lifts, and what are your goals stop worrying so much about the way you look and focus on the workouts, rest, and nutrition. You probably aren't doing enough in the gym

I suggest seeing a therapist or something for your muscle dysmorphia

First you should try to take a pic in the same place with same lighting during the same time of day.
Because nobody can tell anything from those pics other that your bodyfat isnt even close to 15%. I would say that it is closer to 20~25%

How tall are you and how much you weigh? That info would help also for starters.

Well if you wanna lose weight first it's better just to focus on that since you have to be at a caloric deficit to lose weight and a caloric surplus to gain mass effectively. But, with that said, you're not really super chunky desu so you could do either, really.

What's your height and weight?

You mention how much protein you're getting, but how many carbs and fat are you getting a day? What kinds of food do you typically eat?

What are you doing on rest days?

What's your general program structure?

Can probably problem solve pretty easily with all that.

squats 190
deadlift 250
ohp 115
bench 175

(yeah they are all over the place)

no progress tho, idk why i would have dysmorphia , maybe you're right

5'9, 169lbs

145g of proteins, 100g of carbs, 40g of fat

breakfast ; eggs , oat meal
lunch : chicken , vegies, fruits
diner : beef vegies fruits

i workout 4 times a week , i do squats all workouts and mainlifts alternaly . Accesory lift at the end of every workout.

i want to cut still but apparently, no progress in a year so..

i have to cut, i count everything and weight with a food scale. feelsbad.

i'd like to cut to 10% bodyfat then bulk. mesurement says im at 15~

>i have to cut
Nigga what

What you need is mass, start bulking. And no retarded bloatbulk but a 200-300 surplus

This, op

You're not eating enough. Accept that gaining mass means gaining body fat, get over it.

>lifts very similar to mine
>I'm 6'0, 180, look a little bigger due to the extra chunk, but also have more visible fat in love handles
>have a little more than a year lifting
I need to unfuck my shit and quit drinking.

so i should bulk beside not even seeiny my abs?

similar stats user here. If you're worried about summer, it's too late for us. Bulk and make good gains, consider fasting before going to the pool or wherever.

Starting Stength is a fucking meme. You should never expect getting a "good body" if all you're doing is sqoat/diddly/bench/ohpsies.

If you want to see actual muscle mass, focus on real lifts.

you dont have to BULK bulk, but you are eating way too little. have you heard of lean bulking? just eat enough, with those stats somewhere around 2300~2600 depending on your work/activities during the day.

Frankly, I'd move from four times a week to five or six if you're really serious. Unless your workouts are absolutely insane (like pro powerlifter insane), four is not enough to get really huge or fit, at least without juice. That's all my own opinion and I'm sure people will disagree, but in either case you will make more progress that way, at least aesthetically.

The thing is, if you're following a cut/bulk method, you will put fat back on when bulking anyways. Bulk up first and cut later if that's what you want to do.

You need more protein (1g/lb of bodyweight at least), and more importantly more carbs. I'm a fucking manlet and I'm getting 400g of carbs a day. Naturally, our goals are probably different, so that might not be for you, but I imagine if I was on 100g I would be permanently exhausted and flat. Try splitting food intake over five or six meals instead of just three.

how much are you fucking eating if your over 1g/lb of protein plus 400g of carbs a day

do you eat literally 0 fat ever? or you eating 4k calories a day?

>"Why aren't my muscles growing???"
>"I eat between 1500 and 1800 calories per day"

M8 you're working hard but you have no goal or program. Your eating is all screwed up. Are you bulking or cutting? Sounds like you're trying to bulk in the weight room and cut in the kitchen. Doesn't work. Pay close attention - you can either:

1. Eat BIG (2500 cals/day for you), bulk up, and put on a good amount of muscle after a few months (and a little bit of fat. Inevitable)

OR

2. Eat lean (like you have been, but sticking to 1500 religiously), lose some body fat over a few months, maybe gain some strength, but NOT gain any muscle.

Pick ONE. You cannot do both at the same time.

If you aren't eating big, you won't gain muscle. If you ARE eating big, don't expect to lose fat. No matter how hard you work out. You need to bulk up, eat big and lift bigger. You won't lose fat while you bulk and grown your muscles. In fact, you're gonna put ON a few pounds of fat in addition to the muscle. Deal with it. And by deal with it I mean worry about it later. After you've bulked for a few months. Once you begin your cut cycle.

You have the enthusiasm and dedication but you need to pick a program and stick with it.

isnt the plan typically cut until your 10% body fat, then bulk until your 15% body fat, back and forth until you reach your aesthetic/strength goals

I try for 3400 calories minimum but I cap it at 4k if I'm really exhausted. I rarely think about my fat intake (not saying that's a good thing) but I try not to get more than 100g.

I have two hours of gym in the afternoon and jiu jutsu in the evening so hungry as shit all day.

I think a lot of people do it that way, or in a similar way, but you don't have to. Tons of athletes have great bodies and they don't ever think about cutting and bulking, they just train hard in their sport all year.

There are a lot of potential ways to get fit as shit.

Eat more

He didn't even do Starting Strength clearly. 190 lb squats can't be more than 6 months progress for even the worst starts.

why the fuck are you cutting?

stop thinking about the freaking bodyfat numbers. especially if all you have to measure it is some internet navy meme meter.

looking at the pics, lifts and your stats, you clearly dont have enough muscle to look good even at the "magical" 10%.

1.calculate your daily calorie needs with calculators found online, there are multiple, use few of them and take an average.

2.eat according to it or little bit over for few months and dont worry about summer. see if you get results, meaning more weight lifted or seeing something in the mirror.

3.you should look better even if you get more fat because you dont have any visible muscles now. if this doesnt work, come cry here again

dont worry about the fat gain from building muscle

fat loss is not as hard as people make it out to be, its actually too easy sometimes

i cut down from 215 to around 205 after around a month or so but then i went from 202 last week to 196 this week, i have to actually eat more and fix my cardio because this kills the man

i havent posted my body, im not original user, im just saying those are the commonplace numbers ive seen for bulking and cutting.=

my apologies then, you just sounded like the op, forgot to read the name.
