So is she right? Seems pretty much like bad form to me.

god i hate women
yeah she is right, she is powerlifting
LMAO
You aint ever making it if you fear an herniated disk
Sumo and hyper-arched benches need to be regulated. It is obvious cheating
I mean; she can't tell me that her form isn't offending me.
The more I look at her syntax the more I hate her.
Agreed
>Does my overinflated ego offend you? Do you feel the need to tell me I'm just seeking attention? Do you think I'm retarded?
There we go
I wanna ram my dick up her ass
I don’t lift very heavy but I’ve always benched with my back flat on the bench. I see a lot of places talking about pulling your shoulders back but that feels very unnatural/uncomfortable for me.
Also I can’t imagine her form there is good for the human spine long term but meh, what do I know.
Fuck i arch my back but only a little.
Angry weak incels detected. Don't be upset that girls warm up with your maxes
Oh no
What offends me is her uppity attitude god l fucking hate Lifting Grrrls™
Shes hot af. Would lick her sweat
Same. It's always like they have something to prove.
Form seems legit
Congress should outlaw this shit
>Angry weak incels detected. Don't be upset that girls warm up with your maxes
Christ sometimes I forget that absolute UNITS like this exist.
Pulling my shoulders back literally fixed the problems I was having with my bench.
I don't think you understand what kind of textbook projection that picture is in this context.
>I don't think you understand what kind of textbook projection that picture is in this context.
Is she showing off that she's benching 145 pounds? I should call myself a girl and own female powerlifting meets
I agree with both but how would you regulate back arches? Could you arch a little bit? How much arch can there be? How do you define hyper-arched?
Special benches with a slight arch built into them, your back must completely touch the bench
If you're actively making your training easier to increase weight in the way people life for comps then you're just setting yourself up to fail.
shit like this is why powerlifting is not an olympic sport
seriously this arc is unnatural but a 1-2 inch arch is 100% normal for the human body. You should be retracting your scapula on any push excercise.
I mean, she's right it's legal in comps and powerlifters do it to get the most weight in competitions but she's a fucking retard for working out that way
a) Completely competition legal
b) It is also correct form, as it protects the rotator cuffs by retracting the shoulder blades as well as facilitates full body power generation.
Not really, it's mostly because it has too many events and is redundant thanks to the existence of weightlifting.
Post body
She is benching like 40kg in that pic dude lmao
There's like a million track and field events no one gives a fuck about
Nah son USAPL banned trannies
The real reason is the 10,000,000 feds with varying standards
Oly lifting is very straightforward, either you get the weight up or you don’t, squat and bench are subjective
same stupid bait, stop trolling faggot
Any many who calls another man an incel is a complete failure
snap city bitch, snap snap city bitch
>Completely competition legal
And that's why Powerlifting™ is a fucking meme.
>Bending your spine into a horseshoe so you don't have to do a full rep is correct form
Neck yourself.
lifting isn't a sport until they account for bodyweight, rom, lever arm lengths and joint angles all of which combined have a much, much, MUCH bigger impact on the weight being lifted than the bars and plates
*except bw they already do account for this mostly
If your butt and back are on the bench you're good.
It's about lifting as much weight within the rules. People who have big arched and put up giant benches still put up big benches even without a giant arch. The only shit that is bullshit are deadlift bars especially when coupled with sumo. Otherwise there's no real gap between conventional and sumo.
All shes doing is isolating the lower pectoral. Shes basically making it a decline bench press. Generally everyone's strongest part of the pec is the lower pec so arching like that will make it look like u flat bench more than u do
Just tell me where the faggot lives
I’ll deal with the rest wink wink nudge nudge honk honk
It's probably that attentionwhoring vaginal jew herself starting those threads.
capped ROM minimum
this shit just makes women look worse which is why im inclined to think its a larping faggot
a normal attentionwhore would just bait with some stupid question to be able to post body
Much lower rom too though
That's fucking stupid and literally impossible to regulate, this is the entire reason press was removed from weightlifting. Glutes + shoulders in contact with bench for the duration of the lift on the other hand is really easy to control for and accomodates a variety of different preferences for bench pressing.
lots of weak retards ITT getting mad at powerlifters for powerlifting instead of bodybuilding or weightlifting
anything but isometric testing of strength is a meme. lifting is to get stronger isometrics is test said strength.
What a fucking retard, a slight arch is fine but this is just ridiculous.
>PVC pipe with fixed diameter (2" or whatever)
>If I can slide it between you and the bench, the arch is illegal
Ez
Dumb. The sport is already tiny. No sense in making it even more expensive to do a simple meet. Also, back arches would vary with body size, even with a "standard" curvature radius.
Dumb.
Literally just give them a max distance between bench and back between the butt and shoulder. Simple measuring tool (PVC pipe or whatever). Easy as hell.
There's no reason to NOT ban the arch. Everyone knows it's cheating.
It's fine, if you're trying for general strength and your own fitness you should try to increase the ROM as much as you can without hurting your shoulders and back. She probably shouldn't train with a competition arch every session but she's throwing up babby weight (~70kg) so it doesn't really matter.
A small arch in your back is fine, but what she's doing is unnatural as fuck. Up to a certain weight, it probably doesn't matter, but at some point its going to fuck shit up and she might basically guillotine herself by the bar. This form is a one way ticket to snap city. Also clearly bad form regardless of whether you're body building or power lifting.
its called flat bench for a reason
If you have any questions or need to be a good weekend and I don't know what you think happens to be a good weekend and I don't know what you think happens to be a good weekend and I don't know what you think happens to be a good weekend and I don't know what you think happens in it dropped on Google Play store download on the other day and I don't know what you think happens to be a good weekend and I don't know what you think happens to be the best thing to do with the same ways to get the latest Flash player is required for video playback is unavailable right now because this video is not available for the info on the other day and I don't know what you think happens to be a good weekend and I don't know
bro. you need to pinch your shoulderblades together when you bench and squeeze your pecs, while keeping your shoulderblades together. youre putting too much on your arms and shoulders otherwise.
This.
Nobody cares about you fat dyel faggots cutting your rom short with your guts, how is this any different?
>I'm powerlifting
Look, I like to "the press", bench, squat and diddly but powerlifting as a 'sport' by itself is gay as fuck and retarded.
holy fuck atleast try to fit in you actual zoomer.
fucking embarrassing.
>Getting defensive for having both shit form and a weak bench
The problem with women is that they use this shit form every time they bench. I understand arching to hit 3pl8 or something. But using this bullshit for lmao1pl8 is pathetic
What an attention whore.
Benching like that is 100% fine for comp.
It's legal and helps you win.
However if you want to train for general strength, then obviously use less of an arch (still retract your scapula tho, for healthier shoulders)
These 'benchpresses' are the same as if you would go for a deadlift and only lift the weight up to your knees and then drop it and claimed that was a lift. Or if you would do a rack pull and claimed it was a deadlift.
I literally do not arch my back at all unless I'm lifting solo and it's to lift the bar off the rack lmao
been in a lotta car accidents bro in good shape for lifting so long!
Jason's lifts are more legit than these 'powerlifters'
Lol except we're going to ignore that you can easily cut out 50% of your RoM by arching and we're going to look the other way :^)
2” diameter is arbitrary though. Why did you choose that? What if you can slide it through but you have to use some force, and it causes the padding on the bench to be pushed down?
It's hard to regulate it as everyone has a different build but I think it should be recorded next to whatever they lift.
In a way it becomes a mark of shame and hopefully it socially regulates itself.
They a are wrong and so are (You) to promote them
