This is my fear! That's why I started serious squatting first with really light lifting for upper body. I already have chicken legs and don't want to further point them out.

I did bodyweight squats for like a month at home before squatting at the gym. It didnt add much for mass but it taught me the movement and got me to a pl8 squat

Leg day 1 : quads, inner thigh (adductor) calves
Leg day 2 : hamstrings, glutes, abductor (upper side hip).

...hope no one is missing hamstrings, you can’t teally develop a good hammy just by doing squats ya know...

Try front squatting. I used to hate squats, look for any excuse to avoid them. Tried combining machines to compensate. It was never good enough. Asked fit joe to avoid squats. They told me not to be a pussy. I discovered front squats. They are so much more comfortable, my back hurts way less, and you get just as good a workout with lower weight. I highly recommend.

Make up an injury. If anyone at the gym talks to you, and I doubt anyone talks to you, just tell them you broke a vertebrae in your back in a car accident and you’re recovering. Then start with the bar and add 5lbs to each side of the bar every week. You’ll be surprised at how soon you’re squatting big numbers and looking down at a pair of juicy thighs.

But for the love of god squat. Squat to the point where you enjoy it. Squat for life. Squat for shits and giggles. Squat for mum. Squat for dad. Squat for your unborn child. Squat for God.
