Gone from 232 too 200.4 in 3 months. 6ft one inches tall. Getting complimented on my weight loss. Finally back in 34in pants. Messed up yesterday thought I could have a little yum yum sauce without taking myself out of ketosis I was wrong. Mapped out what my weight should be at the end of the week if I properly started at New Year's. I would be at 187, but was pussy footing around.

Right now I'm 197.8, but I'm losing weight pretty quickly. Two weeks ago I was around 205, so feels good losing weight so quickly.

I'm too lazy to hit the gym consistently, but I'm going to try and bust out 20 minutes of cardio mixed with some HIIT and then three lifts per day.

Well I guess you could get autistic with the diet itself. Go through everything you eat and strip out anything that could be spiking insulin or cortisol - caffeine, anything with sugars, whatever.

Otherwise take whatever you're eating and just scrape 1/4th to 1/3rd of it off to go by degrees. Push it bit by bit.
Or do like 4 hours of cardio a day for an easy increased deficit. Or combine all of the above. I don't know, you'll hate yourself if you give up now.

Don't hate yourself right now, that's a bit premature.
Might be projecting, but a lot of my previous diets fell apart because I did fall into the trap of "Fuck this, nobody cares, fuck me, this is the one thing in life I like" and late-night binged/got drunk and ordered a bunch of takeout.

Just gotta mentally yank yourself every time you treat food as anything other than a necessary evil to survive. Gets way easier as you go along, the hunger cravings do eventually fuck off.

I hate the taste of water, been trying green tea as a "replacement" (still drink water @meals bc I know caffeine fucks with your insulin resistance)

I enjoy it, but I've noticing some weird shit side effects. Actually pee more than with just water. My sleep pattern is shifting to 4x2 (usually sleep like 8am to 12pm and then 11pm to 3am.) and also EXTREMELY weird and in some cases disturbing dreams.

I've always been a fan of green tea, just feels revitalizing in a way, have one each morning after my fast window with an oat bar, makes me feel good for the majority of the day.

So I read a lot about not drastically cutting calorie intake. If your BMR is 2500 then eat 2000 calories, and not 1000 or 500. I don't totally understand why cutting calories more drastically doesn't lead to faster weight loss? People say it slows your metabolism, but the body's got to be drawing energy from somewhere in order to meet that BMR right? And that would have to come from body fat if you're cutting calories, or so I would think.

Okay, please correctly assume I'm a retard and explain that out to me. So drastically cutting calories causes the body to retain more water. Does that mean that fat will be lost as the body uses it up for energy, but the scale won't show a difference because the weight of fat is being replaced by water? And if so, then once a regular (~2000 calories) diet is picked back up will the water flush out?

4 weeks ago i started diet (leangains) and lifting (FBW 3xweek + boxing once).
After 4 weeks I dropped from 116 to 114kg (255lb to 251). On the one hand I guess it is too slow, on the other I lost 5cm in waist, 3cm from thigh Muscles on my legs and arms are more visible and pumped. Should I keep doing what I do or reduce kcal intake?
