chicken, rice, frozen vegetables

Big ass sacks of rice and beans, based cheap staple that will keep you alive when everything else in this list runs out and money gets tight
Frozen fruit and veg for micros, get different blends
Large eggs, always go for the big packages like 60+ so you'll save a bit and plus there's so much you can do with them
Bread, always go with store brand instead of name brand
Rolled oats, get this in bulk if you can so you're not paying for packaging
Chicken thighs
Milk
For flavor get store brand spices and condiments

if you can get this cheap there is no reason to eat rice unless you want to switch up for taste.
