very important, dont flare your elbows and keep your shoulders back and down... almost everyone is a trap beast and has poor posture and it's almost everyone cant sing.....

fucking serious, if I cheat I can military press a bit, but for me I should be military pressing the bar. this idea of only rotating the shoulder, with some action in the elbow joint it's based on the concept of core.... stability which is rooted in fundamentally correct posture.

same principle as the crawling shit I do (badly, still, need to hit it harder on my knees) in regards to that training proper walking gait, which is a regressed form of running.

military press very fucking important along with properly done pull ups, or lat pulls if you can only do improper pull ups.

core stability... strength in that area is so key to flexibility and functioning joints.

but yes... military press one of the best lifts you can do.... squats first, deadlift second, military press and pull ups third.

how much is Blaha's OHP?

Yes, as long as you strict press and don't turn it into a push press/standing bench it is god-tier for shoulders. Hit some arnold press right after that and you will finally get delt DOMS again.

Overhead press + Dips is the best way to go for shoulders and chest development; unfortunately it's not as straight forward progressive like Bench bc steps are smaller and you have to figure out a lot about your proportions to find the stances and rom that works for you the best

Bill Starr has a great article concerning the advantages of such combo over Bench etc
