Does anyone else feels that training on a home gym is less effective than training on a "proper" gym?

does anyone else feels that training on a home gym is less effective than training on a "proper" gym?

I know that I may be wrong, but something makes me feels like avoiding to go to a gym is just being lazy.

It's a mentality thing. Some people would train harder at home, and others would be the opposite

The only thing I dislike about my home gym is having to load the plates all of the time but I don't have to wait for anyone else to use them.

This, if I’m home, I’m taking 3 minute breaks and watching anime the entire time.
If I’m in the gym, I’m going all out because I’m an insecure fag and feel like everyone’s sizing me up

sounds like that's a you problem dude, I have a home gym and I train the same way I usually do. Its better for me because I can cook and clean etc between workouts, it saves me a lot of time and is really convenient.

I feel the no motivation at home thing, plus the brhaps sloots at the gym make your ego act up unknowingly so you push harder, gotta keep a cap on it to a point tho mang, don't wanna visit snap city trying to unintentionally impress some sloots that will go for Chad or dyel uni hockey players.

Stay the course breh, the sloots help push you but don't let them control you

No shit, retard, I literally responded to a post stating it’s a mentality thing and differs from person to person. Learn to read nigger.

I have a home gym and a great gym at work, and always work out better at work gym. More peer pressure

I don't bother doing anything at home.

It feels so tiring. I don't really know why. In the gym I can do it but at home anxiety kicks in and I do nothing.

If I take of my shirt and start lifting dumbells I feel horny, in return I feel motivated to work out. But once I put my shirt back on back to feeling tired.

I mean if you have enough disposable income why not both.
I think home gym is far better for gains though. You can just go do sets whenever you feel like

The main issue I have with a home gym isn't motivation, it's my workouts edging out 3 hour sessions because there's really nothing to distract me or make me want to stop.

Where as at the public gym, i'm far more likely to get distracted or demotivated or lose focus and be like "lets call it"

You fuck up a lift at home, it's no big deal, you miss a rep at the public gym, you might get demotivated. Or you can't use a machine or some thot distracts you or just anything.

Sensory overload. It's far easier to maintain focus in a home gym setting.

I tried both and heavily prefer working out at home. I'm very anxious at the gym and feel everyone is watching me and laughing.
At home I can focus.

>Don't have to drive
>no body's watching
>don't have to wait for some dipshit to >stop doing ohp in the squat rack
>no embarrassing squat plug blowouts

>3 minute breaks
yea dude thats pretty standard for strength training. y-you are training for strength, right desu?

w-what if I want to do more volume?

then I guess you should be ready to make no gains

are you trying to say higher volume yields less gains?

I have everything I need at home. Plus I can knock out OHP anytime I want and then switch to rows if I wanted to. Plus having a way to do pull ups is the only way I progressed into doing more than 1 or 2.

NICE DUMBBELLS WEAKBOI

>home gym is less effective than training on a "proper" gym?

not really. home gyms are better because you have to use more barbell and free-weight workouts rather than the machines all around you. Working out in a garage in summer time is worth it.

imagine needing more than a power rack and a barbell with plates to complete your workout.

to be fair, I don't use the dumbbells that much. I did before I got the rack, barbells and plates.

no he's saying your rest time needs to be shorter in order to get proper hypertrophy.

What is an ideal rest time between sets in an hypertrophy program?
