How many of you guys here have gone to no caffeine either temporarily or permanently? I've been on it for a month and did it cold turkey, the headaches were shit but I feel way more awake during the day now not relying on it. Only thing i miss is my green tea and whole bean roast, can't seem to find any good decafs in that.

I had to stop last summer. I used to drink a ton of coffee then I started getting panic attacks and denationalization episodes whenever I would drink any caffeine.

denationalization really scared the shit out of me. haven't touched caffeine since

I found out i'm actually addicted to dopamine instead of the actual stimulants, due to depression and my body not making any. Are there any alternatives? I tried fish oil but it just makes me more depressed and gives me nosebleeds

Struggling to quit caffeine myself, recently learned CBD in as small of doses as 10mg can have lasting affects with aiding to quit any mind altering drug. From caffeine and nicotine, all the way up to opiates (heroin included)
One anecdote from a friend who recently quit nicotine and caffeine same day, started off with 15mg CBD every 6 hours (overkill) for 3 days, went down to 15mg twice a day for the following two days, and 7 more days at 15mg once a morning. Though it won't reduce cravings 100%, from what I've read it'll greatly reduce the anxiety and moodswings 70% for most drugs, and cut cravings in half, if not more. Curious to try this out for myself.

sorry it autocorrected. I had depersonalization episodes

cbd oil is really good. My dad has anixety and I do too a bit. He bought me a bottle and It really helps me relax when I need to study or get work done.

Faggot just get Black pepper oil and put a drop on your tounge when you want a cigarette you're welcome

My father conditioned me to associate coffee with shit since the first thing he did every morning was make coffee and--while drinking said coffee--take a shit. So coffee literally smells like shit to me now and I'm disgusted by it and can't tolerate the smell let alone drink it.

Also don't drink tea nor any soda/related, so have no caffeine intake.

Tired all the time doe.

I take caffeine every couple days when running on no sleep. You're a beta if you don't drink or consume it.

Havent had caffeine for a long ass time (havent counted because I don't really care enough to). I work night shifts and I'm doing just fine with 5-8 hours of sleep a night.

(You) here, thx for the (you) haha I've tried it to aid my work habits and it works 10x better than caffeine, almost as good as straight up ADHD meds, but my interest in the chemical as a means of quiting is peaked. Do you have any experience in this? If you smoked or used caffeine at the time, did it reduce the amount of caffeine or nicotine you consumed and make your brain want it less in retrospect? In personal hindsight, I drank an average of 3 cups of coffee less while using it, just didn't feel as if I needed it all as much. Wasn't really drinking less on purpose, just happened.

I don't smoke brahhh. Didn't see this reply. Just had a bad caffeine habit since freshman year of high school

Ah forgive my poor reading comprehension. Faggot rescinded.

direction and accomishment. you need satisfaction gains. replace time-eaters with activities that have some lasting benefit. passed your mid-twenties you cant get by on just dopamine, you gotta know you are doing something you value.

anti dopamine drugs like bacopa could teach you to live on less dope and when u get off of them and return to your regular levels it won't feel as bad

I quit drinking coffee this week after shitting nothing bu soft and liquid stools for over a month. My stomach just can't take any more caffeine.

Woah just looked up depersonalization, that shit happened to me while I was talking to my boss on Wednesday after a coworker brought me a fuckload of Starbucks. Kind of felt like I was in the back of my head, but reduced anxiety in a way. Didnt know it was because of the caffeine.

I get migraines constantly, so I have to be very careful about what I drink and eat. That said I still drink coffee or caffeine products in two week periods at a time, then quit cold turkey for another couple of weeks, then repeat.

dude holy shit same, I thought I was the only one. I drank coffee heavily for years and just one day I had a mental breakdown that was panic attacks and derealization. This shit was almost constant for like 3 weeks and I couldn't figure it out until I cut out coffee.

I drink decaf now and max of 2 cups a day. It still has a tiny amount of caffeine but it keeps me from going insane.

I've been thinking about it but I really enjoy a piping hot cup of coffee. Like good ass coffee, not keurig shit.
There's something meditative about heating up my kettle and making a nice and dark pour over brew

t. starbucks

I go on no caffeine every day after 4pm or 6 small cups of coffee, whichever one comes first. This is the best way of doing no caffeine.

Fuck off, Gremlin.
As for OP, I just cold turkeyed caffeine too. Yesterday was horrible. Came off an ECA stack at 5 weeks because my heart felt weird
