*stops your run*
what do?
*stops your run*
can anyone explain why this happens?
I keep running and tell myself the cramp is mental and it's not actually happening
They just happen from time to time, keep going and one day theyll stop all on their own
lactic acid build up from anaerobic respiration
you werent running in your aerobic threshold, but beyond it
body doesnt use oxygen+glucose for energy, just glucose
slow down, get back into your threshold, and get in the oxygen to metabolise the lactic build up
Weak core, dehydration, who knows
We know very well user:
Just keep running til it goes away
*Stops run*
What more is there to do?
you mean I'm not supposed to stop all exercise and go home the moment I feel pain? webmd says to stop
Run more.
Try exhaling all of the air inside of you and brace your core as tight as you can for a few seconds while running. Take very small shallow breaths after the few seconds while still bracing your core so you don't pass out or something and you should be good after. I've had bad cramps while running for all of my life and this is the one thing that i found that helps. Not eating or drinking an hour before running also helps too
You can’t make them go away, stopping will only make it last longer if you try to stop, stretch and keep running. Just gotta run through them.
>t. Did track and cross country for 5 years
because you don't have the tip of your tongue touching your palate.
best answer kek
all of these are wrong. What happens is
>your muscle cells lack oxygen
> body decides "more blood = more oxygen"
> blood is stored in the spleen
> spleen has a capsule of myofibroblasts (myo- muscle it can contract)
> spleen contracts to pump more blood in your circulatory system
> contraction of the spleen is painful.
Thank you, this is the only post that isnt broscience.
Shit running posture, look up how you should ACTUALLY run. this did not deserve it's own thread.
Jesus christ all those user spilling bs
You can do two things: breath thru your nose or if you need to breath thru your mouth, start walking and breathing very slowly and then you can gradually speed it up.
That happens when you breath too quickly thru your mouth
Not gonna make it
to the hospital maybe
Can you also detail the nutritional value of human spleen? This one bandit in fallout new vegas was always ranting about how he's gonna "eat my spleen".
If you're being serious something that helps is pinching it. Literally if you get a side stitch pinch the shit out of it with your hand. Works every time.
Different types of pain mean different things. Dull and sustained pain is a matter of endurance. Sharp, quick, and localized pain is your body saying something went seriously wrong.
