Soda is the first step, the easiest thing to start cutting out. If you can't do the first stage you're ngmi I'm afraid.
I will say that I also drink a massive amount of water every day.
Sugar is really, really bad for you and soda with sugar in it tends to have a lot and be really easy to drink without realising just how much you are taking into your body.
Sugar-free ones with artificial sweeteners may or may not be bad for you. Research is inconclusive.
Caffeine is a bad thing to use on a daily basis. With only around 40 mg per can, Dr. Pepper probably doesn't have enough to really fuck with your sleep or anything.
Acidic liquid is bad for your teeth, but can sometimes be helpful for your digestive system, especially when eating high-protein food. Overall probably not worth being too paranoid about.
I'd say a moderate amount of Diet Dr. Pepper should be fine. Full sugar version, I would only recommend to someone who was extremely active and then only right before exercise.
I already cut out jewbrew about 2 years ago. I don't think it would be hard to cut out the soda. but boy is dr p tasty.
Just go for it. All I ever drink really is protein shakes and green tea, not sure if the green tea is bad caffeine wise. Sometimes have chamomile before bed. The only time I have water on it's own is in the gym.
I noticed that my taste got a lot more refined when I stopped drinking soda. Soda is so artificially saccharine that it really desensitizes your taste buds when it comes to tasting things. I needed to use a lot more salt, a lot more hot sauce, and a lot more sugar in all my cooking to make things taste good.
Then I started drinking water only, and I noticed that stuff started tasting SO much better. I could only add a dash of certain seasonings to my foods and I could better pick out the notes of flavor.
That's why I stopped.

Another thing, after like a month or so of not drinking soda, if you try to drink it again you will hate the taste.

what If I switched to drinking juices with meals instead of soda? often times its when I am eating diner that I get a craving and have dr pepper.
Better but still bad for your teeth and shit and high calories. Juices have almost no nutritional value compared to whole fruits.

Coffee has some health benefits, although the way caffeine screws up your sleep makes the trade off seem bad to me. Decaff is probably worth it.
Fruit juice is terrible. Basically the same sugar and acid as soda, just no caffeine.
Some options:
Decaff tea and coffee
Fruit and herbal tea
Low-sugar fruit squash
Milk (lots of calories, some sugars, but also protein)
Almond milk (unsweetened)
Depends on various things:
Are you overweight? If so, you may want to worry about the sugar, although it isn't much.
Do you have any issues sleeping? If so, you may want to switch to decaff.
Do you want to have one or two days a month when you get an actual powerful stimulant effect from caffeine? Switch to decaff at all other times, then drink real coffee and take L-theanine with it for a buzz.
If none of that applies, carry on enjoying moderate amounts of coffee.
it's literally just not THAT good. I thought I loved soda but when I switched to seltzer I didn't even tell a difference. For me it's mainly the carbonation and just realizing it's not worth it to drink your calories
