Do you take rest days Jow Forums?

Why or why not?

Yeah. But I go running on them. There is never a day where I don't wake up and exercise. But your body needs a break from lifting.

Yes. But I wouldn't if you didn't need it to recover

i lift monday til friday, rest on saturday and run 6-10 km depending on my mood in sundays.

Yeah, because I'm natty. I rest Wednesday and Sunday.

I do HIIT and LISS, followed by stretching, alternating on days I don't lift. If I'm feeling extra fatigued I will take a day off.

I do a PPLXPPLX routine, but I still work out every day. In addition to my daily 5k, my rest days are usually an opportunity for me to mix it up. HIIT, swimming, additional running, extended LISS, sports. Not only does this help conditioning and cardio, but I manage to keep my TDEE pretty much equal on all days so I don't have to bounce around with my intake.

I guess it depends more on your split. If you're doing a total body routine, you're should have fewer, but longer sessions throughout the week. Still, it's best to stay active on rest days.

Typically on my rest days I'll be a bitch, run (above jogging usually) for 12 minutes. Do squats and lunges, then hit the bike for another 12. Not really ideal but whatever.

I should note that I somewhat enjoy running and I also love having a 3000kcal plus daily expenditure because I get to eat a lot, but I'm probably overdoing it. 30 minutes of light cardio isn't bad for a rest day.

Well I'm still on IF to cut. So I'm working out my routines. Only been going to the gym consistent since October. Can't wait for the spring to roll around so I can go on full runs tho.

The only rest days I really take are for mental awareness. I usually push through the muscular pain easily.

On Saturdays I do yoga with my gf and then we go for a walk on the beach. Active recovery, active lifestyle. Namaste.

Fuck you for the life I wish I had

this

I get bored easily so i used to have no rest days and trained as much as possible. turns out that i under-recovered by having no rest days and was told by my physio therapist to take 2 weeks off training and urged me to go to the hospital due to back injury. The Back injury was more painful then when i was hit by a car at 40 mph. so please, have a day to recover.

On rest days I'll usually bang out a few sets of pull ups

I follow Jujimufus 365 plan

I switch from up to bottom so my upper part can rest while working out the bottom part except /fast/ days where can be take as rest days

you can trrain every day without over training
youwill just have to lower the intensity and not be a retard like u

>tfw it's rest day tomorrow
gonna wake n' bake then go for a pizza

My rest day was yesterday but I still feel beat up.

That's how I've been feeling for a while, might end up taking 2 rest days in a row some time

I rest on the weekends and do an A B split on the weekdays

Have you also just started out with lifting? I feel like I just need to get the muscles used to it. My biceps could go to work again today, but my chest is all busted.

I take every third day off power walking because i have a flat left foot i need to get seen to.

I have a rest day on Sunday but I try to go on a long walk if the weather is nice
