Ive had double jaw surgery (including genioplasty) and jaw implants. I later had the jaw implants removed. If you're reader of the steroid thread you might have seen my post btfoing the delusional retarded trip who thinks surgery is a ticket to heaven on earth.

If not, I will say I have been deep in this game and come out the otherside with a much more grounded view of surgery. It is absolutely not the magic pill that communities like sluthate and its derivatives make it out to be.

Ive consulted with several of the absolute best surgeons in this field, and my surgeon was one whose cases are frequently used on the internet (this board especially) to show "see! amazing!"

Heres the thing, in countries where there is not regulations preventing surgeons from using advertising techniques (for example, germany bans this which is why most german surgeons dont have any showcases to show you unless you consult them in office) you are only seeing A) the absolute best outcome cases ever and B) often photos are manipulated (as former patients of a very prominent and eccentric swiss surgeon can tell you first hand because they look nothing like that IRL)... and well, excluding negative information is actually worse than not having any information at all because it is misleading.

The vast majority of surgical results are unremarkable. People who are average to above average usually end up looking merely different, not better. Major surgeries, such as jaw surgery, are usually only very remarkable in people who are starting from a signifcantly below average point, e.g people with significant maxfac deformities (such as a girl who my surgeon worked on and routinely used on here as an example of "whats possible". She ended up a very pretty girl, but people are completely ignoring that her starting point was significantly deformed, and the result would not look anywhere near as impressive without that. Comment too long, oh well this will probably be received negatively anyway
