It disturbs me that men are actually proud to call themselves male nurses. It's like proudly calling yourself a male flight attendant.

Very disturbing.

Friendly reminder that this meme is shit and you shouldn't become a nurse to obey a womyn doctor, it's a shit job anyways.

male nurse is the most feminine profession you could choose as a guy.
even gay hairdresser that cuts women's hair is more masculine than you.

Great pay, no debt, 2 years for a degree, 3 day work weeks, a lot of variety, can literally become an NP and do everything a doctor does except surgery including having your own clinic

m-muh masculinity, go break yourself in a construction job like a real men

>no debt
>2 years for a degree
>can literally become an NP
I don't know where you live, but in Canada it'll run you about 25k just to become an LPN. To be an LPN takes 2 years, but an RN will take you 4 years and 50k, and an NP will take you about 6-7 years at even more money. I'm not expecting to come out of school debt-free.

I'm probably going to get fired from my gas station job. Can I just work part-time as a care aide while going to Uni?

Freedom Land
2 years for an ADN and you are a RN then you do a bridge program to BSN (takes 1 or 2 years) while working as a RN. Community college it's either free or less than 20k

nursinglink.monster.com/education/articles/534-adn-vs-bsn-which-should-you-choose

I'm a medfag and have to admit that male nurses are all chill, good, professional and know how to assess a patient, compared to female nurses who are a hit or miss.
Keep up the good work anons.

murse reporting.
have hit 1ohp and 3squat. Still no 2pl8 bench or 4 pl8 diddy.
How about the rest of you?

Forgot to add, from BSN to MSN (NP) takes also 1 to 2 years and it can be as low as 10k to as expensive as 50k depending on your state but it's not really that much because you are making already AT LEAST 80k as a RN and you've been working a while by then

Goddamn, maybe I should move to Murrica

Do I have to go to college for this shit?

It’s like your coping for some sort of issue you have of what not

No they just take any retard off the street

Trade school for LPN college for RN difference is about 20k in pay and supervisory status as an RN especially bring a male nurse

male nurse reporting in. Making 85k a year, loan is almost paid, currently in BSN to MSN program which is also payed for by employer. Pension will vest when i graduate, guaranteeing me ~$700 a month from 65 until the day I die, not including COLA increases.
Feels pretty good i guess,

No college for wiping ass.
College for NOT wiping ass.
Big pay difference and a miserable job

How much female nudity does a nurse see?

So I have a degree in health science should I get my RN and the apply for Np?

what state? how long have you been a nurse? what kind of nurse?

More prolapsed vaginas than the mind can handle

Ok so I'm guessing that you mostly see old nude people. None of fuckable age? What about bobs? Sticking them wires to chicks chests and stuff

Depends on your face really, most chicks are find with me doing ekgs on them but, generally hospitals will try to provide a female nurse for a female pt

I'm not sure if I want to become a nurse. Gonna start working as a CNA soon and see if I like the field. College seems like a big hurdle but it might not be so bad if I'm motivated

You are gonna love it, make sure to always have pic related at hand

You people here make such a big deal out of this. It's just another part of helping the patient. Every job has lamer tasks

It sucks being poor and going to school while all your friends are in trades raking in loads of cash.

>what state?
washington
>how long?
about 5 years total now
>what kind?
oncology, which can be hard / sad at times, but i'm not really into dealing with homeless OD patients and cellulitis r/t drug use.

> spotted the fry nigger

Attached: 7F4F0089-CB3C-4C04-99A7-17A3CD55F0BC.jpg (625x574, 42K)

This is brainlet level cope if you think wiping another person's shit from their asshole is just a "lame task"

Oncology would be dope af if the patients and families didn't talk. Gonna be a NP, CNS or CRNA?

Literally one of two jobs everyone agrees are for women

You don't understand the value of helping another human being but you call other brainlets. Hilarious

Not him, but feel free to tickle my butthole when you clean it next time I visit your hospital

Attached: 1551740195675.jpg (717x717, 81K)

It depends on the person. I've had female patients, usually the younger ones) who wouldn't have any male providers, but were okay with me. Given, I'm often mistaken for a chick.

it's pretty great, i love my job when i get patients that are friendly and find fulfillment in protecting them, even when things go to shit.
>gonna be a NP?
that is the plausible next step, unless I can wedge my way into a clinical support role with my MSN. i like bedside nursing, but am ready to step my game up and start making a bigger impact.

BE A RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
>2 years of school
>great job market because boomers smoked themselves to death
>don't have to deal with anything below the belt
>more specialized than nurses
>no negative stigma of being a male RT
>good physicians will listen to your opinion/advice on patient care
>three days on/ four days off
>high potential to move up
>ventilators
Need I go on?

>trying to force generals for no reason

fuck off, this isn't /sp/

Literally never seen one with a salary over 70k even with a billion years experience, but yeah maybe it is less stressful than nursing, tho you got a million different jobs to choose from as a nurse

BE A RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
>only a few needed per hospital floor
>is basically the nurse's respiratory bitch
>physicians don't give a fuck about what you have to say
>are only able to be promoted to respiratory lead
>no diversity in ability to move outside of respiratory care
Need I go on?

Male "nurse' mere, I'm actually working in a clinical laboratory. Dream job, relaxed work atmosphere where I can spend a significant time just reading at a desk and drinking tea, my women colleagues practically worship me, no actual labor or stress, arrive at work at 8 and leave by 3, leaving the rest of the day free to do whatever, no burdens to take home from work, weekends are always free. Couldn't ask for a comfier job desu

Now, I tried welding for a "manlier" job and that shit is incompatible with life.

I bet you already smell like a paki lad.

Daily reminder that with a nursing degree there are hundreds of possible career paths to choose from with experience that don't involve wiping asses...
>oncology
>psychiatry
>research
>academia
>rehabilitation nursing
>administration / manager role
also, a reminder that many administrators in hospitals have nursing degrees and move up the ranks plus have amazing pay
>travel nursing

Surprisingly few in my field, both staff and patients.

Being one of the only males on the staff has its perks

based

>tfw paramedic
>tfw have slightly less medical knowledge than nurses but have none of the feminine stigma with being a male nurse

Attached: 1551198315626.gif (800x800, 681K)

I'm in an accelerated 2 year BSCN program now in Leafland and after beating cancer Oncology nursing is my dream job. did you go straight into Oncology after graduating or did you get experience doing another type of nursing first?
>Oncology nurses are amazing and all the ones i know work great hours (no night shifts here for oncology)

Excuse me, nurse? I was giving your patient PD&C and he shit the bed, gonna need you to clean that up. Thanks!

>Dream job is a desk job
I just don't think I could work a desk job like that, maybe when I'm older , need the pay boost for a family, and starting to grow tired but I'd rather go for something more active like a flight medic. Being a desk jockey is a nightmare of mine

I can guarantee without a shred of a doubt that you're a neet.

Yeah, it smelled so bad I could hardly "breathe." Haha, get it? Oops, I'm being paged - gotta go! Let me know when that shits cleaned up!

No...:

If you really worked or know anything about hospitals you know that's not what happens, maybe some retarded RN has cleaned shit out of self imposed retarded sacrifice, specially females because they are all feels and no brains. We have Patient Care Assistants and sometimes lowly Licensed Practical Nurses for that

Thanks doctor. Hey support worker, can you sort that out?

isn't being an emt brutal? you make like 30k-40k a year, 40+hr workweeks, and shit hours i heard

Lmao @ everyone attacking this view. I feel the same way, honestly.

Lmao @ everyone working more than 3 days a week with sub 100k salary

>physicians don't give a fuck about what you have to say
And? Doctors also don't give a fuck about anything a nurse has to say beyond vital signs of the patient.

I shit all over the place go clean it up dork

I am sorry you are so poor you couldn't afford an education to understand how hospitals work :(

Tell you what, I can put a good word for you in my hospital to hire you as janitor so can clean your own shit, retard

>you make like 30k-40k a year,
Depends where you work, your training levels, etc. I only make about 40k a year working in an ambulance service in the North West but I could pretty much double that and more by becoming a flight medic, also the hours aren't terrible depending on how you manage your time. I have four 12 hour shifts a week but have 3 days off as well. It balances itself out. Some make over 100k a year but they're usually from positions reserved for ex military fags and old timers, also takes a ton of training and schooling.

I'm not really doing the job for money anyways, it's just something I'm passionate about. I find solace doing meaningful work that can genuinely assist people in times of crisis.

I'm thinking of switching to medical field from teaching, looking for advise. I'm considering going for PA or nursing, money isn't a huge concern for me. I mainly would like to work a schedule of something like 3 days on 3 days off, or week on week off. Would that schedule be possible as a PA?

This. I'm a doctor working for the military and all my nurse bros are jacked soldiers who are super chilled and good at the job. There's no major "us and them" feeling but both teams hold the other accountable. Being a nurse is easier mentally and less hours than being a doctor for less pay but when shit goes down its the doctor in court.

Bro that guy is just a fucking wanker.
When is sick he'll be the first Lil winey bitch calling the nurses to help him. I feel sorry for people who have such a low self esteem that they have to belittle others to try get a rise.

>40+ hours a week
kek, try 80+ a week plus overtime because some asshole whos buddy buddy with the boss decided to drink till 5 a.m. When his shift starts at 6.

>you have to hold over till we find relief for you shitsux

you're lucky if they even try and find relief for you

It depends on your specialty but you can definitely do 3 days on 3 days off as PA. I don't know enough to give you advice but there's a shitload of info on this just google and youtube

It drastically depends on where you work desu. I work as a medic in Pa. I work 2 days a week+overtime whenever I want. Made >80k last year and couldn't be happier with the freedom it provides me

Just some speculation here, but it seems like the best job on the planet for banging tons of chicks might be a night shift ER travel nurse.

>all the newest (youngest/hottest) nurses work nights
>ER nurses are known sluts
>every couple of months you pack up and move to a new city

You'd literally meet/interact with hundreds of women every year. If I was starting over/not in a relationship, I would do it.

idk I think all you need to bang thots is low body fat, time and money. Travel nurses are great because you don't have to study a lot to bank 200k you just move around and get free food/rent

Honestly I might go that route

stop making generals out of your ass you absolute retard niggers

t. Someone that's never worked in a hospital.

My wife is an RN, really just a shitty job
>4 years for bachelor's
>started at only $25/hr
>max pay offered at the hospital is only $38/hr for nurses
>female dominated fields are insufferable
>black people

I'm sorry your wife and you are both retarded, no RN starts the job at less than $30/hr fresh out of college.

What state are you from? You must be from an extremely rural shithole if she has a lot of niggers and that pay

That's about how much they make here. And then the gov complains that the graduates all leave for the US

Michigan. The highest paid nurses in this state are in the Detroit. The average salary of nurses in Detroit is about $28 or $29 an hour. Cost of living, apart from auto insurance, is pretty cheap in the whole state, but the pay is still shit for how much she puts up with.
payscale.com/research/US/Job=Registered_Nurse_(RN)/Hourly_Rate/19021e1f/Entry-Level-Detroit-MI
payscale.com/research/US/Job=Registered_Nurse_(RN)/Hourly_Rate/d34355c6/Detroit-MI
Also if anyone wants detroit ER stories my wife is a goldmine for those.

Damn where the hell do you live that the pay can be that low.

Kek, I was going to guess either Detroit or Chicongo

Literally move to the closest neighbor state, like Illinois and if your wife has more than 5 years of experience she will double or more what she makes

The number of Canadians who choose detroit to work in (astronomically better pay) and to get Healthcare in (better care) is astonishing.
She has about 2 years 2 months of experience and is at $30/hr now. The difference in cost of living and lower standard of living negates any pay increase.

honestly tell her to become an NP or something asap and then do move to whatever state you want because it's impossible to make less than $70/hr with a MSN unless you try super hard like your wife is doing right now

She and I are talking about that. I make enough on my own to support us both, but the dual salary money is fantastic. It's either she does grad school and we push off having kids, or she goes contingent (only required to work a few shifts a month) and is essentially a stay-at-home mom and we start making babies asap.

>mfw I read everything on this bread and realize I wanna be a murse

Attached: 1550188962369.jpg (1242x1241, 100K)

Assert dominance by forcing her to quit her job and start drinking the minute she's pregnant

Dude, give it a rest already. How many times are you going to try forcing this? I see it posted on other threads and you sperging out real hard at the suggestion that your job as an overglorified ass-wiper is not an optimal choice for smarter people who actually want to make money

You are really insecure my man. Give it a rest already and live with the choices you’ve made

He constantly posts this on other threads too for validation, since he can seem to have the self esteem to tell himself he made a good choice. Pretty much a woman in a mans body

It’s almost as if he doesn’t want to admit he made a terrible choice lmao

You'll probably die in a hospital bed, alone :^) lel

start the courses user, they fly by in no time. But you must START

Anyone on Jow Forums a PA? If not what can you nursing anons tell me about PA's. Currently half way through my second semester of didactic year.

Attached: 1439128297080.jpg (1022x768, 202K)

PA's are literally the doctors bitch. If you work at a solo practice, youll run the whole facility, get shittier pay, and cant have any ownership. Mr. Doc will come in maybe 4 hrs a week while you work 60

Except he won’t because if he did that would make you bad at your job and a hypocrite, murse

construction?
>70-80k starting out with a degree
>even more if you travel, with per diem bonuses
>fun job with a bunch of lads who are all comfortable with telling people what they do
>women are always impressed by the pure raw testosterone of the job and the pay
>small debt but is paid off because of super high demand and annuals
>get to yell at mexicans and minorities all day
literally if you don't know what you want to do with your life, construction is the way to go, we had a single company offer jobs to the entire graduating class last semester, and my degree is technically ENGR so i have the knowledge that i'm not a complete fucking retard

Attached: file.png (736x700, 83K)

>Construction
>Consistent employment
Oof

Medfags, what are the best medical specialties for each of these
>income
>work/life balance
>job satisfaction
>all three
?

yeah i'm not talking about GED construction you fucking retard, i'm talking you can't apply without a bachelor's degree, who the fuck wants to work like a nigger right out of high school

How much is tuition out of state? What states are the cheapest? I'm afraid of getting rejected and I'm broke af I can't afford 30k for the degree + living expenses

Good to know that even internationally, nursing schools have no fucking clue what they're doing.
