*destroys your elbows*
Nothing personnel, cunt
*destroys your elbows*
why the fuck would you do this exercise
it also seems like it would be really easy to throw the weights onto your lap
In preparation for the time in your life when you will need to lift something heavy from behind your head to above your head.
>mfw tendinitis for the past five weeks
>mfw haven’t gone to the gym in the past five weeks
>mfw didn’t stop my cut so now all my muscle has melted away and I look even worse
The muscle comes back fast.
Just make sure you never do the dumb shit that got you here again.
I don’t understand what I did to make it happen
I do heavy chins 2xpw and OHP 2xpw, my volume isn’t crazy high and I don’t do much tricep isolation
Maybe it was too much grip training (only trained flexors)
This fucked my elbows up for literally my whole life.
Fuck whoever encourages this meme
Why wouldn't I just turn around?
The behind head lifting competition rules dont allow for turning. Sorry.
>mobilitylets getting rekted
imagine being such a genelet you cant do this without getting hurt
imagine being so stupid you dont think to supinate your grip if above is the case
Just start light and build up slowly. I do this exercise 1x a week for 4x12, always get super tricep pumpa without elbow strain.
I do this with a tricep rope at a slightly different angle. Am I still fucking my shit up?
It feels great for triceps, no elbow issues. And dropping the weight on your lab? Sure, if you have the grip strength and coordination of a toddler maybe
i have been doing these for years no problem. i guess some people just have little custardy hinges where their joints should be.
Holy fuck, what did you do? I've been lifting consistently for like 7-8 years now, fucking stupid heavy lifting, and I've only had elbow pain for like a couple days or so at a time. 5 fucking weeks?
I got it this past fall after doing reverse barbell curls. I haven't done them since and it only flairs up when I do heavy diddies
I built a cable system for my home gym just to do tricep pushdowns because these shits kill my elbows
this is a great exercise. I alternated between using an ez bar and doing a cable version with a rope. Just keep your elbows tucked in.
Yeah this fucked my shit up bad I'm still scared I'm gonna feel it again doing skull crushers or something
Stop lifting for like 2 weeks. See how your joints feel.
I haven't done any iso bi or tri work over the past few months. Heavy pressing and dips for tris, and pull ups (1 set of pronated, supinated, and neutral grip each) and rows has been working out great. No tendinitis or anything of the like.
It’s basically a skullcrusher except now you’re utilizing your abs
The only joint area that constantly hurts is my knees. They crack when you extend and hurt minorly when using stairs. It's annoying. Outside of that though, there isn't much pain anywhere consistently. I understand this shit may come back to haunt me later in life, but we'll see.
Have been doing these for 2 years and no problems whatsoever. They do cause elbow strain when you do them with a straight bar. Use an EZ-bar like in the pic you posted, you autist.
been doing this for a year with no joint pain taught my brotogae to do this and she has no joint pain
>mobilitylets when will they learn
>minor injury that can easily be worked around
>better stop lifting for a month and a half
this
If you don’t flare your elbows it’s fine
Your tricep has three heads, over head exercises place more stress on the long head of the tricep.
I hope that this helps, please don't ask any more stupid questions!
I just do the one-arm variation with dumbbells.
