Somatotypes

Is this shit real?
How come every beginner seems to spout this shit?

hormonal profile so yeah somewhat real imo

Its just a pseudo way of saying skinny, cut, fat/skinnyfat. People have different frames but somatypes are BS

evolutionary speaking, what is the advantage of having an ectomorph hormonal profile? ability to survive on less calories?

You can graze off trees like a giraffe

No real experiment was made, just collecting a bunch of naked pictures of students (without them knowing) and correlating their body type to their character

So what can i do if i'm skinnyfat and want to be skinny?

It's pure broscience

If you have a supply of food that is very consistent, then ectomorph is more evolutionary advantageous due to weighing less. However if you're cut off from food for a significant period, then you'll be less likely to survive than the other 2.

It's been debunked lately. There's no difference. People just used it as a benchmark excuse to explain why they can or cannot gain weight.

Body proportions are legit, so are bone sizes, but in terms of being a hardgainer, lean gainer, ecto, meso, etc it was all broscience bs.

Regardless of labels, people with thinner frames and longer limbs have certain athletic advantages.

>faster and can jump higher due to less mass and better leverages
>longer reach makes you better at boxing, basketball, baseball, golf etc...

Back in the caveman days you could hunt and launch spears at enemies

Aside from "different frame sizes exist" its total bullshit.

if you're talking about body types, then obviously.
If you're talking about the psychological effects of it then maybe.
I mean you can't deny there is some correlation, seeing as the stereotypical chad is an athletic mesomorph, the useless loser is endomorph, and intellectual types/nerds are ectomorphs. In my case they got it right.

No it's not real

Eat less you fat Fuck. Not rocket surgery.

That isn't working.
Started IF, keto and cardio/light heavy-weights but after the initial water weight i can't seem to loose more weight.

Just an excuse for people to stay skinny/fat.

this is why i hate hate fat "people" wo are not trying to make it if you eat less calories than you consume = you are losing weight so its either you are a fat fuck who is overeating or you just broke the first law of thermodynamics

Ayy lmao. Thinner bones break easier have less cartilage around them too.
rule #1 = never take advice from online cesspools

Either eat even less, work even more or a combo of the two. You're not eating as little or working as hard as you think you are. It's not hard, you're just trying to be a lazy shit.

I said certain advantages you brainlet. Look at the nba. They’re a bunch of lanklet

There doesn't need to be any.

>thin people jump higher
this is actually the opposite, if you are untrained, then your mass generally doesn't matter. But if you are fit, your vertical jump is higher when you're heavier, since you're generating more power on the jump. That's the general rule, look at basketball players like zion williamson, and virtually any football player. Freakishly heavy with freakishly high vertical jumps.

Also i dont think this memescience has anything to with limb length

Since i'm in keto i try to get under 20 carbs a day. Doesn't always work out but i keep it low.
Everything in my body hurts since tuesday because i won't stop working out.

Why the fuck am i keeping my weight when i go down from chips, cola and fries all day to fucking keto, IF and cardio till my body can't take it anymore?

You’re so wrong. The largest players in the NBA have shit verticals. The reason Zion gets so much hype is because there literally has been no other player like him.

This lanklet has the highest verticals in the NBA

Record holder for Olympic high jump. Long limbs smaller frame

Bro cornerbacks in the NFL are tiny compared to other players. Super fast with high jumps

>Is this shit real?

no

Lift while not eating much

Total bs. Look at what portion sizes these "types" consider large and you'll find your answer.

Weighing less gives you an advantage with climbing especially. See plenty of strong bros who can't do pull ups for long despite being able to lift twice their weight.

>But if you are fit, your vertical jump is higher when you're heavier, since you're generating more power on the jump.

That's not necessarily true. You could be top-heavy, that's not going to increase your jump height. You're really only talking about lower body muscle mass

its only fatties cope

those kicks look like they belong in back to the future

samefagging and you didn't disprove my point. High jumpers sacrifice mass for flexibilty to make sure they don't tip the bar. Also, they don't need to land. hj just isn't comparable a vertical leap, high jumpers generally have lower verticals than most basketball players because high jump has more to do with coordination and timing than sheer force. The basketball player you showed is fucking built, Easily over 250 lbs. Take manute bol for example extremely skinny for his height, his ape index is one of the highest in basketball, but he sure as hell isn't famous for his jumping abilities.
>look at cornerbacks
where you're getting this idea that cornerbacks have small frames? the average cb is 5'11 but their weight is near 200 lbs
this is definitely true, but i wouldnt consider someone that so top heavy to be fit

It doesn't matter how many carbs you eat, if you're eating more calories, you fatass. tdeecalculator.com. Keep dropping calories.

easily over 200* also it depends on his height i cant tell from the pic

Also, weightlifting on keto is a stupid idea. The main energy source for high intensity anaerobic activity (after phospho-creatine) is glycogen. You're nit yoing to get your best results for hypertrophy or strength if you're not eating good carbs.

It's real as fuck. Bone size is not a myth.

looks like a kid and his dad. Give him a few decades and he'll get the auld fella swollen fingers as well.

Not real just eat kiddo

The wristletism is real though. You can cure it to a degree with incredible forearm workouts but it's 'fake' size-the flesh gets larger but the bones don't obviously, they'll get more dense though.

> Is this shit real?
Only as way of describing body.
> How come every beginner seems to spout this shit?
Most people is dumb.

Because cardio is a good way to plateau. Add a couple days of interval training ex: (200m 200m, 400m) x 4 sets on Tuesday and saturday. Try a different form of cardio, spinning swimming... Don't neglect anaerobic work. Fuckin lift.

>don't lift
>don't lift

What now?
About 50% of the food i ate this week were zucchinis and eggs. Are these not good?

Sorry, the second one is
>lift

The one thing I never hear from fat fucks who just can't seem to lose weight is their calorie intake per day. Hmmm... Why could that be?

I didn't read the calories.
I just assumed that if i started eating berries, vegetables and eggs instead of pizza, fries and chips i would loose weight.
Guess thats one on me, sorry. Will start counting calories from now on.

Nothing wrong with zucchini or eggs individually, but keto is retarded

No. It is used as an excuse to justify someone's failure.

Zach is like 195-200lbs @ 6'5, and was even lighter coming into the league while still having surreal speed and leaping ability.

youre eating more than what you think

learn to count fat fuck
