Every man owes it to himself to do cardio

Life just feels better when you have a strong blood pusher

does cardio work out your heart like curls work out your biceps? serious question.

yes

Sort of, it's not skeletal and it doesn't hypertrophy the same way, rather it adapts to more volume

I'm pretty sure it does because it forces your heart to pump harder. I read somewhere that some guys can have really low blood pressure because of this. Similar to how a 10lb dumbell feels like nothing after a 55lb dumbell.

i've been doing 60 mins of 180+bpm cardio every day since november

is my heart strong now?

high blood pressure runs in my family. when i push myself to the limit my heart beats that hard that i want to throw up and feel like my chest explodes. i get dissy and feel like i'm dying for real. light cardio is ok, a few heavy reps are ok, but high intensive cardio will kill me one day.

Yeah, some elite cyclists die from this. Their heart rates are so low that they died on their sleep.

Die*

Just get to where you can run 5 miles every day without dying. Thats heart healthy. Enough miles, but nothing crazy.

100%. Also will help a lot with hair when done daily if you stack up a couple of supps and techniques.

Surely they don't also take "supplements" that weaken the heart.

Only because of heavy drug use

depends on what your resting h.r is.

also only since nov? i've been doing peak h.r cardio for 90 mins since 2009.

you heartlet.

Just to point out those cyclists had a resting heart below 35bpm and were on performance enhancing drugs. If you just do a reasonable amount of cardio for your health, chances are you won't ever need to snort a few lines of cocaine before you go to bed to keep yourself from dying in your sleep.

I used to do a little bit of cardio multiple times a week but stopped like 2 years ago. My resting heartrate is around 50-60. But I can get it to 45 if I really relax myself. Is that good or should I continue doing cardio?

Back when I was a fat fuck I did cardio 4 miles a day, in the freezing rain of February. I was blasting the beastie boys, running around campus every night cause I was too ashamed to run in the daytime. My 4 miles took me 45 minutes.
Half a year and 50 lbs later I was running outside in the summer shirtless, and it felt great. Record time for my four miles was 26:56. I don’t run anymore, because the time for cardio is over. But next month when my summer cut begins (just gotta lose about 6 lbs for my 12% bf back) you can bet your ass that I’ll be outside running my ass off

Dam, that's slow. Your heart is in poor shape. You gotta get to at least sub 8 minute miles.

Looks tasty. Mmmm

45 min for 4 miles isn't bad

It’s good so you should continue doing cardio

>chances are you won't ever need to snort a few lines of cocaine before you go to bed to keep yourself from dying in your sleep
Lmao so that's why so many cyclists are also cokeheads. The more you know

explain this bicep shit to me im new and lost please

bicep’s are arm glutes

You're bicepnis the muscle in your arms between the elbow and the shoulder and is next to the triceps

please ive been curling 30's for an eternity and still cant move up to 35's what the fuck is this shit

Eat more
Sleep more
Rest more
Take supplements (caffeine and maybe creatine if you don't mind balding)

i do all of that and i'm progressing in everything else and was able to move up to 35's for curls for a while but my forearms started getting awful pains so i had to switch to hammer curls :/ the pain's gone away though so im gonna get back on it and see if the pain recurs.

I've been lifting for the past two months, I'm preparing for a PT test in 9 days and I went to do pushups and felt super weak and tight. I havent lifted in 5 days.
Why do I feel like this?

When I was skeleton mode I used to get intense wrist/forearm pain with curls as well. I just switched to curl exercise that didn't hurt.
Now that I am stronger and heavier the wrist/forearm pain is completely gone.
Keep going brah

thanks user

>I havent lifted in 5 days
There's your answer. It could also be:
>less sleep than usual
>less calories consumed than usual
>You're about to get sick
>Maybe just a bad day
Good thing is strength comes back pretty fast so don't worry about.

26:56 is under 7 minutes

I'm 36 years old and I run 8 miles 4 to 5 days a week. My first 4 miles is about 40 minutes then walk and drink water then do the other 4 in about the same time. I didn't know it was considered slow.

Oh I'm worrying about it, failing this test would be a huge problem (military)
I've done it before a few times, but its still stressful

Lol, nonitvisnt. You're just a pussy. Military PT tests are easy as fuck. Unless you're a green beret...which lets face it you probably arent..lol

Trust me it really is a huge deal

I am an engineer with a company that primarily develops replacement heart valves and I strongly urge you all to take care of your hearts.

The symptoms and comorbidities of various heart problems are frightening.

my resting heart rate is usually around 100-110 and my blood pressure is always 140/90

Just had a great run last week: 7 miles at just over 7 min pace. Gonna go for a clean 7x7 in another week or two.

>bicepnis
Not sure if this is a typo or some kind of Finn meme

fellas i am trying so hard to get good at running for the army and i am struggling. im like 5’11” 175lbs and do a 5k in about 30 mins or less three times a week and occasionally do some aprint HIIT. any advice? just run more? just try harder?

Yes, keep running, and build your mileage up. Ten percent increase per week; and stop stuffing so much damn food down your gullet.

You're distance running. The pace is gonna be different.

does cycling counts?

fucking lol at moving to do anything else than getting up to go in your car, my studying sessions are more exhausting than my pussy ass workouts

no they're arm hamstrings, chest is the arm glute

It does hypertrophy for serious cardio, as does static exercising e.g. weightlifting, but only cardio hypertrophy is thought to beneficial.
