Fish Oil

Yay or nay? I hear it makes you smelly.

Never had any problems with smell. I buy from ON, they're pretty good about making the caps not taste/smell like fish, and as far as I can tell it hasn't changed my body odor

Yay

Just buy flaxseed oil instead. You can get it in the same gel-caps and it has a similar Omega 3-6-9 profile without the stinky burps

This is an informative comment.

Isn't consuming flax seed like mainlining estrogen? It's worse than s oy

Enjoy your boosted cyanide levels.

Great if you want cancer

I have naturally oily skin and after I tried fish oil tablets my skin was terrible.

>fish oil tablets
>tablets

Bruh I dunno what you took

>Enjoy your boosted cyanide levels.

>Either I posion myself over time or give myself cancer over time

ONE, NOTHING WRONG WITH ME

You could just not take any of that garbage.

I’ve taken like four brands of regular ass fish oil and never had a single “fish burp” or any other side effect.

They were on the same shelf as the fiber shots.

>flaxseed
Shiggy

Bought cod liver oil from myprotein and the supplement bottle used to be odorless but now it smells like literal fish, should I drop it?

Fuck off, the omega 3 acids from plant sources are not the same and have a bioavailability of less than 5%
ALA is not the same omega 3 acid as in fishoil.

Doesn't have enough EPA or DHA, and I say that rather than not at all because your body can use Alpha Linolenic Acid to create, according to the best case studies, about 9% of it.

Don't listen to this veggie trap. You can get ALA but not EPA and DHA fatty acids from vegetable sources. Chia seeds better than flaxseeds in that way, and flaxseeds should freshly grinded to prevent fast oxidation. Bad quality flaxseeds oil will be a rancid shit. Take quality fish oil supplement 1000-2000mg DHA+EPA(DON'T CONFUSE IT WITH FISH OIL OR EVEN OMEGA-3, JUST DHA+EPA), and add chia seeds and other vegetable sources to add ALA.

I'm allergic to fish. Are there pure EPA and DHA supplements that aren't fish derivatives?

You can try algae products. Fishes take their EPA and DHA from algae anyway.

>Fishes take their EPA and DHA from algae anyway.
VEGANS WIN AGAIN, BABY!

Yes, but fish oil is more convenient.

hey genius
all nutrients in animals either come from or are converted in the animal from a plant source
the difference is humans cannot actualy convert some 'pre'-vitamins like pre-vitaminA (beta carotene) like herbivores can and must get it in its converted form from animals

I was trying to do a funny. I know, I know.

ah, alright then

why do you care if fish oil makes you smell? u got a date or somethin tough guy? you got a girlfriend or somethin? huh?!

Take it with a meal because sometimes I get fish oil burps. But the benefits are good.

What would I gain from taking them? My teacher also recommended them
