Ye I had one on my right wrist. I have had pain there for like a year and I felt it only when I did some heavy shit, and then one time I guess something broke and I got that cyst. I had it for like 2 months and it was only during like 3 days that it really hurt and greatly reduced my mobility.

Yeah, just had one on my left wrist. Whacked it hard with a book to no avail, 3 days later after 2 gym trips it was gone. I had it for a few months before trying to smack it

smash it with a phone book

Shiiit man. I wonder what specific workout might've caused this. the other day was my "lift more than usual" day and the next day at work (office job), my right forearm and upper arm kept pulsing with pain for a few moments. Now this cyst is on my right wrist

Sure have. Every few years I get one that crops up on my right hand where the tendons on my ring finger meets my wrist. Gets somewhat painful if I'm working with my hands or lifting. I've tried smacking it, ice/heat treatments, but the only temporary relief I got was pressing the fuck out of it with the thumb of my other hand. Normally goes away after 2 months or so

Yup, I've had one. Your hometown doctor can suck out the stuff in there, it relieves tension but it always comes back. Even with surgery it has a 30% chance to come back. I had surgery 3 times before it finally disappeared.

1) Try to push it in really hard.
2) Have doctor puncture it with a large needle, clear jelly will come out.
3) Puncture + injection of corticosteroids
4) Surgical removal.
It returns in 3/4 of cases no matter what you do. After a few different tries it's often gone for good.

I got something similar on the top of my foot. Looked into it, apparently on feet they're commonly caused by things like the knot of your shoelaces of the tongue of your shoe rubbing against a spot weird and putting a lot of pressure on it. Hurt like hell for about a week and a half. Soaked that foot in epsom salts daily and tried to stay off it and it went away and hasn't come back.

how bad was the surgery?

Mine is under my wrist. It used to go away after a couple of months like I drained it twice, but it was back within a week.

I smashed it with a book and it stayed away for a while, but then it came back with superpowers. It won't smash anymore.

It doesn't really bother me, but I think it is the cause of some elbow pain because I can't hold my wrist the right way.

Dude you gotta pop it

Sent a message to my Dr. about this. Hope it doesn't hinder lifting. Mine isn't as big as other photos but fffffuark still man

GO TO WALGREENS AND GET A HYPOdermic sryinge and drain it yourself. dont pay a (((doctor))) to do it. or get just a normal needle and squeeze.

Yes I have one on my right wrist. Some days it is more prominent than others. It was probably been there for a year. Only once have I aggravated it enough to make my wrist extremely sore. I do worry about it affecting my ability to keep a good rack position, but I have poor wrist mobility to begin with.

You have a ruptured tendon. Got one years ago playing sports. Highly recommend getting it fixed with a surgeon if you have insurance. Its an easy operation and recovery is quick.

Kinda related
Whenever I stretch my hands like this I see those weird lumps
Anyone else have em?

Yeeees ganglion cyst gang. I got one on my right wrist a few years after I broke it. It doesnt hurt or interfere with anything so I just let it chill

yes i just got one about a month ago after 7 months of lifting,
i assume it came from lifting,
asked my doctor friend, he said maybe hit it with a book? he said draining it with a syringe might affect a nerve and he would be reluctant to do it. he told me to get a referral to a neurologist,
haven't yet tried popping it with a book, will probably just get the referral and see what the specialist says.
mine doesnt hurt and it isnt very noticeable, tho it gets a little more noticeable when i lift

happen to me 10 years ago
change your diet
change what ever you were doing before it appeared

>Anyone else have em?
Yeah, I do, in both hands. What the FUCK are those?

Don't do these home treatments. Go to a doctor.

Trying to break it with force may lead to an infection under your skin oh god no.

I've got one on my ring finger knuckle

Wrap your hands if you have this and are gonna go heavy on the bench. You'll thank me if it flares up while your benching

Wrists I mean

i dont think your friend is a doctor

One lump for each kid you're going to have in the future.

learn to do self surgery for benign but annoying stuff like this and you will save yourself a lot of money because doctors do the same shit in office and its not complex despite what they pretend.

Depending on whether the contents have solidified or not you can probably just get 18 or 20 gauge needle in there and suck it out. Repeat as it comes back until eventually it will stop.

Yes, and it interfered with pressing lifts quite a bit, although it never really hurt. Problem solved with homestyle anaesthetic (booze) and a sharp whack with a vacuum cleaner pipe, problem solved, 10 years ganglion-free. Home surgery ftw.

Don't bother with a book, it needs some heavy force to bust it.

fat deposits, do more wrist curls/pullups to stretch your hands out and subsume them.

I had one a few years back, but it was tiny. It went away on it's own after a few weeks.
