Slightly narrower than the "Narrow" in the pic.

My bench is weak af because I never trained it because of oly lifting. Stopped doing gay oly and now focusing on upper body shit. I just want to not be a meme and do 140 kg x 5 ;_;

you're better than these pathetic faggots who don't bench, good job

>you're better than these pathetic faggots who don't bench, good job

Not that bad to not bench. The overhead press is definitely the superior movement and results in healthier shoulders, instead of potentially destroyed one.

I bench, though. But quite a lot of people don't (and shouldn't) due to a history of shoulder issues.

Dunno why youre so skeptical
A) 1rms are fun but a waste of time as far as actual progress is concerned
B) dips/decline are better for pec development
C) incline is better for overall aesthetic development anyway because giant pecs look ridiculous

I bench occasionally but rarely do I every use BB, DB just feels better and is overall better for healthy shoulders.
Not benching at all is fine too desu pecs don't really need a ton of attention, makes far more sense to focus on back.

I use medium grip by this image. I'm 5'10 165 lbs.

I asked this one spic manlet to spot my bench. Repped 225 and he started saying

>y-your grip is so wide man. I do shoulder width. I-it increases range of motion

I said, "Well that's more of a close grip bench, but whatever works for you I guess. He then said should fix it.

What the fuck? He benches like 185 tops. Is he just coping? I'm not half repping and i'm touching my chest every rep.

Is wide grip cheating? I saw some power lifting video the other day and the female record holder for bench barely moved the bar up from how wide her grip was.

Between narrow and medium according to OP
My bench has always lagged behind a bit but I didn't find myself lifting any more than usual with a more narrow or wider grip.

Narrow I suppose but I don't think that picture is correct. Narrow there is actually medium. Thumbs length from that ridge is medium/normal. Starting right at the ridge is actual narrow. Close grip would be on the outer edges of grip on the center of the bar.

Dont worry senpai, wrist is proportionally small, but its thicker than 90 percent of people
if 8.5" is good enough for me to gun for a grip world record, it'll do.

Medium, pinky on ring

Close grip honestly gives me a much nicer squeeze and chest pump than medium grip. Everyone says it's just for triceps but I don't think that's true.

Only problem is the deload, but I'm not even taking more than 20lb off of it.
