I've been trying to do that but all the articles and infographics have all kinds of convoluted methods of determining face shape

That's what makes the most sense to do. What I'm afraid of is that I get one that, while I think it might look good at first, would end up looking like shit later on. I'm really indecisive when it comes to buying fashion related things.

- the shape of your face
- how bad eyes you got (aka how thick the glass will have to be)
and other stuff
i prefer glasses without nosepads but that's just a personal preference

I have no idea, I've not been for a consultation. Actually haven't been to an optometrist in 3+ years, I just get my contacts online.

Get your eyes checked asap, you should check once a year with that bad eyes (to detect eye illnesses etc in time)
I have -10,5 and -9,5, last time I checked lasik would involve risk for me

Housing marked is fucked in Eastern Europe. Rent has doubled in the last two years while my salary stayed pretty much the same. I was saving money for the lasik but now I'll have to blow it on the security deposit. Probably for a room and not even a studio.
