Whats your OHP at Bros? I tried it for the first time and I hit 100 pounds so feeling pretty good.

70kg at 75kg bodyweight

1rep max is something around 60kg

My working weight is 55kg (got 5 reps on AMRAP yesterday)
Hoping to reach 60kg for reps soon, with a 100kg(2plate) OHP as a long term goal

Doing 5x5 on 45 kg after 3 months at the gym, manlet dyel. Going to get to 50 kg before summer for sure.

is seated OHP equivalent to standing OHP? In terms of how much weight you are capable of lifting? I've never done standing OHP because my basement ceiling doesn't allow for it.

from what ive seen you can lift more seated, unless you mean without back support

hit 50kg today

seated OHP shortens the kinetic chain which means you work less muscles but you'll be able to lift more since there will be less instability

170lb at 183 bw.

Stuck at 37.5kg, my other stats are fine.

What am I supposed to do?

deload and increase volume
that's what I did when I was stuck, at least

Anybody else feel they can press more if they clean it first? I clean the weight between every rep now

eat more and press more often,
I clean&press 4-5 times a week

I just broke through 35kg and I'm going for 37.5 on Monday, having also plateaued at 32.5 I would say you should deload to 30 and work your way back up in 2.5kg steps.

70kg X3 presslet at the start of training cycle
Now up to 65kg X10. Hoping for a 90kg press soon

I've hit 100kg after heavy benching. My max is probably around 105-110.

75 kg at 82 kg bw. Hardest lift to progress on. Bought 0.5 kg plates recently. I hope to press 1.5 plates soon.

145lbs for sets of 5, 195lbs for 1RM
My best lift proportionally by far.

Funny how I do heavy The Press™ today for the first time in years and this thread comes up.
Hit a sloppy 2pl8 press as a result.
All the benching I do has a lot of carryover still.

You're leaning back way too far. You're going to fuck up your back if you don't fix your form. Decent lift though, good job.

This absolute dyel giving out advice

Not him but a lot of heavy presses look like that.
You ever see Hafthor lift a heavy log?
He leans back further than user.

t. literal DYEL

165 lbs x5

Running 5/3/1 and my main complaint is that I don't really get to do 1RMs. But "hypothetically" I should be able to do 190 for one.

Looks fine to me, this was considered fine form back when the press was a competition lift, and this was before the double back bend techinque that lead the press getting dropped from competition

How do I add more press/bench to Starting Strength without messing up the program?

Squat/Deadlift progress well, but I'm proportionally T Rex mode.

I just completed 5x5 at 65lbs after years of being unable to do OHP at all due to a fucked up shoulder. I know that's complete shit , but I've never been happier about completing a set before. It feels so fucking good knowing that I can finally start training my shoulders again. Going to the gym is more fun and exciting than ever now, I can't fucking wait. I finally feel like I'm gonna make it.

>But it's not wrong

i just did 65x8 the other night, whats your 1rm currently?

Do a better program.
You only have so much energy to devote to lifting heavy.
Spending all of it on the squat and dead and OHP will leave you bottom heavy no matter what.

seated is 100x easier than standing

get microplates
do an amrap set for working weight
when deloading and reloading, aim to beat previous amraps

30kg 4x8
This cut has destoyed me

135 for 1. I squat 500 :(

140lbs 3x5, 1rm is 165. currently cutting so expecting it to stay where it is and hopefully not decrease

>he fell for SS

5 weeks into lifting. ohp'ing 25lb dumbbells.

Managed 1pl8 for 4 today. Next time it will be 5 for at least 1 set

1pl8 at 204 5'10

Idk but i can move 70lb dumbells for 10 and then the 75s for 5 right after seated

mirin. how long did it take to get from 85x1 to 100x1?

>all this high OHP numbers
REEEEEEEE all you doing is push Pressing the weight.

Im stuck at 50kg like forever.

my best OHP is 165 for 3 reps, took just over a year to get from 115 for five reps ->165 ohping once a week. fucking brutally slow progress.

Try doing some dip jerks

Currently 95lbs for reps, going for 105 tomorrow
