How much is a pl8 ? 44lbs?

8.

I've been lifting for 3 years and I can't bench more than 185 lbs, I don't know why I've always struggled with it. I can flat press 70 lb dumbbells 5-7 reps no problem.

Thats actually pretty good. In Jow Forums everyone lies about their numbers, so don't worry.

'bout tree fiddy

If a girl ask you how many pl8s you bench, just run. Chances are she's actually a "he".

Dude no it's not. I hit 185 after 9 months of lifting and I weigh 165. Cope harder.

Unironically what is a 2 pl8s? Google is unhelpful for this L33T speak.

I just did 120 yesterday. 185 looks good to me.

Lol I use 185 as my warm up

two plates on each side, bench press user-baka

been lifting for 2months and can do 185 lol

yeah no shit, because that is nothing. i started benching at 200 lmao, and now i can do 350 if i tried. you’re not big, and you never will be.

So it can be as low as 60 lbs or as high as 180?

I'm assuming we don't count anything below 15 as a plate.

A pl8 is a 45 lbs or 20 kg plate

Thanks user(s). I appreciate the explanation.

2 45-lb plates on each side, plus 45 lbs for the bar. 225 lbs is benching 2pl8.

The bar doesn't count

Thanks for the explanation.

lmao after 9 months

25 for the civilised

Yes, of course I can. Now tell me, how do you know my name? Did Stacy tell you?

Stop being a smart ass son.

God damn it. I don't have tree fiddy you god damn loch ness monster

>Nope but I can do this
>*lifts up shirt and shows abs*

LMAOing @ your incel tier lives. Girls don't give a fuck how much you bench

I doubt a female would ever ask that

Are you a girl? I lifted 185 after 1 month of SS

i bench 2pl8, just like my squat AND deadlift, so we fucking or what

on the subject of benching, I'm a skinnyfat DYEL just started exercising 6 or 7 weeks ago (with only pushups, pullups, resistance bands and 25 lb dumbells). i just went to walmart earlier today and bought a bench, bar and some weights (2 35 pounds and 2 25 pounds) because 120 plus 40 (weight of bar) is 160 and that's basically my bodyweight. but does the bar count? when people say they bench 200 are they counting the bar?

Yeah I bench 185 too. Shit sucks man I have fucking nerve damage from when a car hit me and my left tricep works at like 30%.

>5'10" 165lbs
>have friend/now gymbro who used to play college football in the SEC as an o-lineman
>6' 4" 290 with something like 20% body fat
>his max squat is 750lbs
>max bench is 450lbs
>max DL is 600lbs
>all natty
>go the gym for the first time in like 5 years after losing 80lbs
>can barely do lmao 1pl8
>friend and pretty much everyone else is working out with way more shit than I can currentley handle

Its somewhat disheartening, but I guess I've gotta start somewhere.

Friendly reminder that girls couldn't care less how much you lift. They are looking for a guy who has good hygiene, isn't fat or too skinny, has some sort of career prospects (ie, isn't a bum who sits on the couch getting high and playing vidya all day), and has a personality that clicks well with theirs. Everything else is just icing on the cake. Good luck anons, I want you all to succeed and be happy

Id fk the one on rt she looks like a young sarah sanders.

Yes. Whenever the weight of a lift is discussed the barbell (45 pounds / 20,4kg) is always added when calculating the sum of the weight.

what about those rare 2.5 lb plates???

>plus 45 lbs for the bar
cheeky bastard

Also, I always thought 2 plates = 2x45lbs plates so, 225 lbs
