No. I speak German and Slovak natively, English very well, and French badly. I also understand most Slavic languages on a basic level, the closer to Slovak (e.g. Czech), the better I can communicate.

Russian will be hard af if you don't already know a Slavic language. The grammar is extremely complicated (a lot of deklination) plus you'd beblearning a different writing system.
My tip would be to learn one of the slavic languages that use the latin alphabet. It's still partially mutually intelligible with Russian.

I'm learning Spanish btw, and it's going very slowly because I am lazy and do the bare minimum on Duolingo needed to avoid guilt.
