OKcupid is proof enough, it's slowly removed important features one by one to turn it into a shitty money based Tinder clone. The latest OKcupid changes last week made me uninstall the app for good.

Any decent dating "matching" app would limit the amount of men able to join to a 1.5-1 F-M ratio, have you do questionnaires that match you with people with similar interests and beliefs, dedicate like 80% of the screen to profile and 20% to images. Have a system for women to be able to message without matching and somehow incentivise women to do it, every time they do it and then actually get through 10 messages back and forth with another person, they earn credits to unlock your typical tinder "gold" features.

Tinder and online dating these days are TERRIBLE for guys like us. They're extremely looks based so when it comes to OLD, largely the 80:20 rule does play out, you can then connect with someone, and then go on a date, but chances are you don't look as good as you do in the photos and the girl will find some reason to leave after a while.
