Why do you keep playing vidya when you're at a bad place in life? Spending 8 hours in front of a computer/console achieving arbitrary goals that literally amount to nothing, unless you're a famous streamer or in the top player base of a competitive game it can't be a career. You can walk outside, work out in your house, learn a new skill or instrument, meet new people, read a book you heard about, the possibilities are endless but you decide to spend your valuable time doing basically nothing aside from slowly hurting yourself through extended periods of looking at a screen, developing early arthritis(you can already feel it cant you), and damaging your heart and brain by just sitting down for too long.
So why do you do it bros? Are you alone? Sad? Deformed or disabled? Genuinely addicted? Have you just lost all hope in life that the idea of dying in your room surrounded by the things you spent your life is starting to seem more comforting than scary?
Because I went outside and broke my foot's tendon by running too much, user. >you could read or write Already did those and I'm burned the fuck out.

>tfw got something similar to OP's pic on one of my bds >tfw it even had a picture of me >tfw the woman who made it posted it on facebook for normies to see and laugh at

I'm too lazy to do anything besides browsing internet

We are in a weird kind of game, we make our own rules but they will always change to make way for new rules. the people who apparently do nothing experience things normal people could never understand, they are a part of evolution but we won't know how it will affect our future.

>cutting the cake weird >look how he cuts the cake this is the worst part of interaction with normies, they say shit like this even though it's totally meaningless >let's shame you for something totally nonsensical and random and then form a big consensus around it seemingly out of the blue what the fuck is wrong with them lmao

Wait, what's the difference between playing a video game and playing an instrument or reading? It doesn't amount to anything either
Ethan Scott
I don't. I'm too restless and sad to play games. I'm trying to fix my life and get it in order, but progress is very slow. I don't know if I'll ever be good enough to have a gf but I hope so. I'm going to stick to art and reading as my hobbies, unless I give up again like I already did for 10+ years.

your post makes sense if you believe life has inherent value or that "meaningful goals" are in fact meaningful. everything is only a distraction from death, and i'll be dead soon anyways so why does it matter?

Vanity of vanities, All is vanity and vexation of the heart. '
The fool and the wise man are one and the same. The prideful and arrogent fill their minds with visions of success by the designations of the system they bow to. Freedom does not exsist for these men, freedom has never exsisted, same as purpose. The only fact in life is survival, and what good is survival for the robots? Men may live to eat bread and drink, be merry and have good lives, but how does modern society allow such a thing when it basically works on a slavery system as all forms of human society have by, creating arbitrary forms of entertainment and distraction. What does success in the modern world provide other than more possessions and frivilous circumstances to worry about losing/going into chaos?
New skills and social interaction for the sake of success doesn't solve the root problem, more relationships and being a jake of trades with stupid hobbies will only distract you for so long before you realize you should just do whatever and not care what happens because everything really is just a roll of dice, and only God knows the outcome.
