meanwhile, each annual cohort in countries like China or India benefits from increased internet access, increased wealth from globalized trade, the multiplier effects of relatively recent industrialization (eg a need for engineers and programmers), etc.

The above combined with rapidly aging populations in the West which will require more wealth to be transferred for their upkeep (social security and medical) and an impending economic recession should cause a shake up which will cause many businesses to fold and a backlash against the trendy, snarky millennial insanity we see today.

When people say "gen z is more conservative" its just scare tactics to rile up parents and teachers to pushing their children more left. High school children will grow up viewing the BLM riots as a modern day civil rights movement and media has already convinced them that history has always been multicultural, multiracial societies.

There simply is no stopping this because for every person who has an interest in politics, there is 10,000 people who get their politics and beliefs from entertainment and entertainment celebrities. Entertainment is what changes the minds of people, not rational argument or evidence. The only thing that matters in politics is entertainment. As long as people can feed their family, have the illusion of progression and watch television, they will buy whatever the TV sells them.
