Is there a worse feeling? I try to increase the weight by 5 pounds every time on the big lifts, 2.5 pound plates on each side, but sometimes I only manage 2 sets with the new weight before have to go back down. On a PPL, 6’1” 175 pounds, 12% body fat. 8 hours of sleep every night. Allegedly eat around 3500 calories a day according to MyFitnessPal, lots of protein. I’m trying bros, literally taking big breaths and gnashing my teeth like an autist. Do I just need to just keep at it and the gains will come?

are you natty? how long have you been lifting for?
Natty. Lifting properly for 2 weeks. Did body weight shit at home and some running for a few months. I thought these noob gains were supposed to be easy? I can do 11 pull-ups in a row for an example of my fitness level, though my thighs are light so that isn’t very impressive. Very DYEL. I’m going to try reviewing my diet again, something doesn’t add up.
Meant to say chin ups.
you are right that something doesn't add up
my advice would be to go with higher reps for the next few months
this will absolutely get you noob gains, in fact the lactic acid and blood getting pumped into the muscle seemed to give me massive gains when I was natty
I am getting stronger each time, progress is just slower than expected. Hopefully my body starts to adapt and get used to it.
LIFT EVERY DAY AND FOCUS ON ONE OR TWO MAIN LIFTS. if you are focusing on 5 different lifts in a workout, you aren't focused so you wont see big prs on ur lifts. youtube.com
Program?
kys you know nothing
SS works and you literally PR every workout, for months.
months lol, then what? plateau?
>in fact the lactic acid and blood getting pumped into the muscle
Lactic acid build up and getting a pump has literally nothing to do with growth. kys.
> plateau?
Yes, you stupid nigger.
And then you move on to intermediate programming.
> Oh you eventually plateau after, in many cases, adding more than 300 lbs to your squat, so it must be a bad program
are you retarded?
This PPL.
reddit.com
I know someone who had great success on this, and it has lots of accessories like face pulls to prevent injuries and volume. I also do some ab work like hanging leg raises and some meme grip training, along with running.
I can't believe you unironically do some bullshit program from fucking Jow ForumsFitness, probably the only community that is even worse than Jow Forums
This program is retarded for a novice. Do SS, get strong, and then do all the stupid intermediate bodybuilding programs you want.
>6'1 175lbs 12% bf
>2weeks liftan
>self described dyel
ur probably way fatter than you think, be careful with the bulking, as a beginner you dont really need that large of a surplus anyways
> as a beginner you dont really need that large of a surplus anyways
Retarded. As a beginner you need the largest surplus compared to any other time in your training career. You know nothing.
As a beginner, just about anything constitutes an adequate stress that disrupts homeostasis and causes an adaptation, and this entire process is completed in ~48 hours. The only way to adequately recover from such a short stress-recovery-adaptation cycle is by eating a lot.
Later on in your training, your cycle is much longer and you don't need as large of a surplus since the progress is so much slower.
kys.
Aren’t some accessories important for protecting your rotator cuffs or working on your lats? Also the volume is good for hypertrophy yeah? And SS has the “T-Rex Mode” reputation. The reason I like PPL is it is 6 days a week, and I am in a better mood for the rest of the day after gym and I sleep better.
My abs are visible. I did lots of body weight shit for months prior and I eat relatively clean.
> Aren’t some accessories important for protecting your rotator cuffs
The overhead press accomplishes this 100%, which is in SS as a main lift.
> working on your lats?
The lats attach to your humerus and are extremely active during the deadlift to keep the bar close. SS also prescribes chin-ups which also use the lats.
> Also the volume is good for hypertrophy yeah?
Getting stronger will make you bigger. Hypertrophy-specific work is best left to the intermediate phase.
> And SS has the “T-Rex Mode” reputation
Because no one reads the programs and actually adds in chins. Also add in curls if you're so afraid.
It also has get-very-strong-very-fast reputation.
> The reason I like PPL is it is 6 days a week, and I am in a better mood for the rest of the day after gym and I sleep better.
So go do some HIIT or some bullshit on the other days.
check your brain faggot, the only time you can reliably recomp without it hindering you is as a complete beginner, eating at a huge surplus will only make you fat hence all the ss fat cunts who post on this shitty board.
nice reddit spacing btw faggot, i could tell you came from r/fitness because of your nigger tier hivemind advise, as you said, kys
>eliably recomp without it hindering you is as a complete beginner,
recomp what exactly you fucking idiot? he's a beginner with little muscle mass
Of course eating a big surplus makes you a bit fat, but you can generally maintain something close to your original bf %. At the end of the program, you can do a cut. You cannot gain muscle mass without some fat gain, idiot.
> nice reddit spacing btw faggot, i could tell you came from r/fitness because of your nigger tier hivemind advise, as you said, kys
I literally have reddit blocked in my host file, kys.
>needs to block reddit to not go back there
lol
Maybe not as a natty but on gear it’s practically 100% of growth..
> haha user you're taking measures to improve yourself?? what a fag xD
lmfao Jow Forums is not an improvement
no shit, but it's one less thing and I'll probably block it too soon.
hey man, actual props, i should get off this trash heap too
intermediate programming lol. anyway bout to go overhead press 185 for reps have a good one lil jimmy
85* not 185
I hope that's kg
Here's a shocker about my fitness pal...the kcal are often wrong.
Open up a spread sheet and individually calculate kcal based on macros and you'll likely see disparity by about 250-500kcal per day if you don't eat exactly the same thing everyday
Lbs
wtf I’m the dyel op and I ohp 85 pounds this must be a second user trolling
funny how everyone that makes fun of SS is actually a weak faggot, huh?
