Asmr helps me

Count those sheep in your head

eat carbs

Exercise during day to expend energy. No lights or especially blue light 1 hour before sleepy time. Wear blue light filter glasses at night. Meditate. Count down from 100 to 0 by threes. I never make it to 0.

This. Have a thot whisper you to dreamland op

Basically this. Get on a sleep schedule. Make sure you worked out hard that day, do HIIT on your rest days. Lower your caffeine intake. Put away the screen at bedtime, maybe read a book for a little and then lay down. I tried out nofap but it didn’t do much for me. Leaves you in a frustrated state where you are constantly focused on women, and then you flatline after around a week or so and have zero lust and feel depressed. Time the fap just before bed as it makes you feel sleepy temporarily.

In bed:
>Nolight- NOTHING. Black everything the fuck out. No streetlights, moon light, star light, blinking gizmos. Use blackout curtains, well placed and black electrical tape.
>17-19C
>300 mcg melatonin an hour before bed
>No screen use in bed, possibly an hour+ before
>Blue light glasses in the evening if you really need
>Exercise not right before bed

I will say the one benefit of nofap is it will give you the courage to ask that cutie out that you have been pining for. If you are in an environment or fit enough where sex is a possiblility, then definitely fap less. But trying to go two months without orgasm or semen retention is pointless, speaking from experience. You get very moody and out of whack.

>melatonin

I don’t feel like becoming dependent on a drug just to sleep.

read lotr before your going to bed works wonders for me

One trick for falling asleep is to get comfortable and then physically try to stay awake. Just lie there and try not to fall asleep. I know it sounds counterproductive, but it really works.

Another thing that helps is daydreaming about things - think about what you'd do if you were a character in your favorite book/show, for example. Before you know it, your daydreams will turn into literal dreams.

These methods aren't 100% foolproof, but they help you get into the right mind for sleeping.

Fapping before bed makes me sleep like a baby though

You have to be tired to go to sleep. Fewer calories in or more calories out during the day.

Also, do not underrate the comfort of your sleeping space. Make sure your pillows are the kind you like. Nice sheets. The right cover for the room temperature. The right sound and light profile. It doesn't need to be complicated but invest a little into a good sleeping space.

millions have been spent on this question, because sleep is that important to soldiers in combat
US military method to fall asleep if you have trouble:

>Relax the muscles in your face, including tongue, jaw and the muscles around the eyes
>Drop your shoulders as far down as they’ll go, followed by your upper and lower arm, one side at a time
>Breathe out, relaxing your chest followed by your legs, starting from the thighs and working down
>You should then spend 10 seconds trying to clear your mind before thinking about one of the three following images:
>You’re lying in a canoe on a calm lake with nothing but a clear blue sky above you
>You’re lying in a black velvet hammock in a pitch-black room
>You say “don’t think, don’t think, don’t think” to yourself over and over for about 10 seconds.
>The technique is said to work for 96 per cent of people after six weeks of practice.

honorable mention:

not op but i ran out of sheep

weed 1h before sleep, you don't have to 420 yourself just smoke some, have fun and go to bed

I never slept better than when i was reading those books, it takes you to a dreamland before you go to sleep

breathe man.
let your brain run things by itself just stop thinking, let go of that focus in your head that feels like a headache
exercise really hard
take some supplements for sleep like melatonin
make your room a lot colder
drink water (dehydration can prevent you from sleeping. yes you dont have to be thirsty to be dehydrated)
make sure you're not stressing out about the shit in your life because then the only option is to stay awake until youre braindead enough to sleep (mediation helps with being braindead on purpose)
you really can't sleep? do as many push ups as you can
literally fap
but the best thing? dont stress out about life and just enjoy the feeling of laying down and the daydreams
get a girlfriend you can cuddle with
eat a really big meal
a few glasses of wine
white noise. belive me i thought this would never help me but it can do wonders
watching porn without fapping also can help, i dont know why though
think of nonsense. that is what happens during that period beetween staying awake and fallin asleep. hypnagogic imagery and you feel like you understand nonsense
literally be happy about something

learn how to stop thinking

Ghb

I trained myself to fall asleep within 5 minutes of wanting to. I start by getting in the mindset of "okay, its time to sleep, no more fucking around" then i focus on the sensation of breathing. Each breathe coming in the nose, and then back out again. Relax the neck, shoulder, back, and face muscles. Scan down the body mentally for any other tense muscles. Let them go limp. Then count down 1 number with an inhalation, and another with exhalation, backwards from 1000. So breathing in, 1000, out, 999, etc. I can never manage to get out of the 900 range so really it could be counting down from 100, but the extra digit gives more to focus on. The numbers help keep you from having stranded thoughts, and the breath focus helps your body observe itself calming down and drifting into relaxation. Try it out next time you sleep, it might take a few days to get the hang of it without getting distracted by thoughts but once it becomes a habit your body quickly goes into rest mode. Hope this helps someone, i used to struggle with insomnia and now i sleep really good every single night. Its not so much the process itself but making a habit of it so your body is trained to do what you taught it.

DUDE JUST STOP THINKING LMAO

Learning to detach yourself from the process of thinking is a real and useful skill you brainlet. You are more than your thoughts

you wont stop thinking even if you think you stop thinking. Brainlet

Most sleep aids make me feel like shit the entire next day, no matter how low a dosage. Do you guys have this effect with melatonin?

t. Smoothbrain

try alpha brain. it actually works.

FRANK PLS GO

5mg clonazepam

Cry until your eyes feel tired

OP you need a sleep stack. Try taking these before bed as a routine every night.

-Valerian root tincture 1 hour before bed time
-A glass of milk
-10mg diazepam
-4mg alprazolam
-200mg diphenhydramine
-4 x cans of carling
-10mg x zolpidem

works every time!

Yes. Also once you take the pills your body stops producing it naturally. When you stop, your sleep schedule is completely fucked

>adrenaline
>drug

>get a girlfriend you can cuddle with

Attached: 1556585574649.gif (416x307, 2.58M)

Wear socks. Helps blood in your feet to flow that triggers something in your brain to sleep easier. Also supposed to help with orgasms feeling better

Are you being obtuse or are you literally retarded?
Either way you should check yourself familia

drink a cup of sleepytime tea 30-60 minutes before you want to sleep. i usually work out in the morning, but if i end up working out in the evening, i can never get to sleep at a reasonable hour. the tea really helps. i drink a cup and read in bed and i'm usually wiped out within an hour.

Go to bed
Lay your arms by your side, etc
Close your eyes
Start breathing slowly, focus on each body part from top to bottom to relax it
artofmanliness.com/articles/fall-asleep-fast/

Put your phone on the other side of the room, and learn to focus on your breathing.

>nofap
My body always wakes me up with a raging erection whenever I get a few days in. It takes some effort to fucking stave it off, and we're here to fix OP's sleeping problems, not exacerbate them.

Phone/computers on night mode
Dim/turn off the lights an hour before
Don't drink coffee
Walk a bit

hold your breath until you pass out

Count them backwards

Tried and works, can confirm. Best way is with a silk tie while masturbating.

Dibr you have to get up and take a piss?

This will kill you

Do not attempt

Don't try this
It makes mustard gas

Are you retarded? This is obviously the recipe for crème brulé...

At least the first 5 google search results on this subject will tell you EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW about how to fall asleep easier but do you google it? No.

Felt genuine terror seeing this image.

I've been taking 5-HTP and I think it gives me better, deeper sleep.

Maybe it will help you drop off too?

the whale is a BRAAAAAAAAAP bro just like us he means no harm

>Buy a booklight
>Take melatonin and 5htp 1 hour before bed time
>read in the dark using the book light
>fall asleep peacefully and have vivid dreams (melatonin)
>awaken feeling more rested and in a good mood (5 htp)
>after doing this for a few days in a row your circadian rhythm should be set

I have night terrors. Occasionally I scream in my sleep like a pig being slaughtered. Also, sleep apnea. Sleep a shit

Get up at 4:30

I began taking magnesium and melatonin supplements. I have a fitness watch that tracks my sleep and I see notable results. Bigger blocks of deep NREM sleep. Especially early in the night.

Blue light filter
Melatonin from hollywood supps
Camomile tea
Earplugs

Do I imagine myself as the person in the canoe or am I looking at myself lying in the canoe?

I've been doing the military thing they suggest for sleeping in high stress areas.

Focus on relaxing face then shoulders, while ejecting any thought that pop up 'til youre out.

Works pretty ok for me

Have you tried getting up early in the morning?

stop using the computer 2 hours before you need to go to sleep and put on a double cup of chamomile tea. Floss + brush your teeth. Write down all the shit you feel like doing tomorrow/whatever you want to "check" on the internet in a notebook. Open a moderately interesting work of fiction. Read it for half an hour. Close the book and shut your eyes 8.5 hours before you want to wake up. If your room isn't very dark, consider getting a contoured sleeping mask like pic related.

Attached: 71+boGIe14L._SY355_.jpg (355x355, 18K)

oh yeah, also, don't drink coffee after 11 AM, and, preferably, switch to a light green tea, which you should drink at around 7:30 AM.

>ejecting the thoughts

ejecting the thoughts is key. That and not overstimulating the brain immediately before trying to sleep, e.g., with the smartphone.

The nolight and low-nocaf options are good. I've started journaling before bed, seems to help to clear my mind a lot and put my brain into a daydream / reminiscing state which makes sleeping easier.

>You say “grow, grow, grow” to yourself over and over for about 10 seconds.

Download Flux for your desktop and use the night light feature on android if you have it. Dunno if Apple has a similar feature.

Melatonin is a sleep hormone
I only take it when I can't sleep not every night

i explain a made up situation to a made up person in my mind. my go to is a military situation of some kind. i am out like a light in no time each night.

Attached: 1623754c1d0b7461ff7a0ece407d1405.png (694x434, 359K)

That's retarded

That seems like a great way to get an ear infection

Unironically stop playing video games. I stopped playing Vidya since January 1st this year and I've been sleeping like an angel

>not playing kortal mombat
never going to make it

this is the only correct answer

dosages?

Only if you don't want to get any actual sleep. Benzos/alcohol reduce REM sleep

I listen to a boring audio book on x0.5 speed. That really slows my thoughts down and relaxes me

also this

This.

>5 htp

this shit is making my dick soft. never again

cute toilet

Diphenhydramine

>nofap
That's the exact opposite of what you should do.
Jerk off into a cumsockwith a boxfan in the room and you'll pass out within a minute or two.

Attached: 1556713714820.png (500x111, 15K)

smoke weed and tug one out my friend

This is extremely autistic but I love it. stealing this idea

I just do that regularly and it doesn't help me sleep

people use GBA, melatonin...ambien can have really weird effects.. use to be able to use Nubain at night, which is (ws) a cheap synthetic opiod you took at night to sleep but sure now even that's under extreme pressure..

I have hardcore immunity now

>thots
My favorite two ASMRtists (Ephemeral Rift and Phoenician Sailor) are both male. And not in a
>reeee grills
kind of way. They legitimately make better content than most everyone else.

>counting 1000 beats
How could you manage something so vapid?

Have you ever wondered why they call it going to bed when you're already in it?

They call it going to sleep. Going to bed is laying down for the night, not necessarily sleep. And when you’re going to sleep, you haven’t entered it yet.

Attached: 4L_jspauIMA.jpg (473x648, 24K)

Only go to your bed to sleep and nothing else, do not use your bed for any other purpose.

I on a good day, with nothing to do can sleep 14 hours uninterrupted. Also, don't fall for the idea that blue light must mean you stay awake, i've conditioned myself to associate sleeping with watching videos on my phone, and for this reason i usually can nap for about 5 hours.

Good luck

How to I go to sleep though I'm already lying down?

I take Ambien.

>No lights
Manchild afraid of the dark here. Anybody else trump their fear? I keep having near-sleep
audio hallucinations of something typing on my keyboard while my back is turned and now I'm afraid to turn off the lights.
I know it's not real but it's happened two to three times and it freaked me the fuck out to the point where I can't see myself ever sleeping in the dark and waking up to blackness.
