Walking is literally a waste of time btw

Not if you are 82 years old or weigths 280 lbs

Start now and do it every single day. Try to hit 20,000-40,000 on some days.

Pic related, I always get 10,000 or more steps in a day.
You’re a waste of time btw

How is it a waste of time? Any movement you do is better than sitting down, wasting away

only if you walk for a few minutes a day. 10,000 steps is approx 2 hours of combined walking which is great for general fitness. It’s not going to make you a powerhouse but it’s going to prepare your body for more intense exercises over time. Plus this adds up to around 5 miles which burns 300-500 calories depending on how much you weigh. Walking 10,000 steps a day makes it easy to cut.

>counting your steps
>walking for a set amount of time
Cringe and yikes, you completely miss the point of the walkpill.

I don't want to relive backpain

What job do you have that you have that much time to walk

how do i walk as a NEET? we're highly discriminated against and i'm afraid of getting attacked or questioned by virgins like this are there some type of sunglasses that cover the whole face?

Overnights at a hotel. I do walkthroughs every 30 mins plus I pace back and forth at the front desk. Then I go to the back office and use the dumbbells from the gym. Hotel work is fantastic.
Just walk a track dude. On my days off, if it’s sunny out, I make sure to walk to the next town over and back. Easiest 20,000 steps.

you burn the same calories walking as you do running

It's healthier than running since it doesn't shake your whole body and put stress on joints and builds conditioning. Also it's not slow walking, it's more like a fast-paced walking.

I agree, you should be running or jogging.

I go to gym at 3 pm, walk at 8 or 9 pm.

Not really.

That much walking will literally destroy your lifts. 10,000 steps? Lmao

It literally won’t

If you walk on lifting days, make sure to separate the two as much as possible

Walk in morning, lift in evening or vice versa

Only if you hate your bones. Walking is great for bone density.

How much calories does one burn by walking? Per mile/kilometer? I've heard conflicting info.

It's negligible. Better just to skip breakfast

Ya I know it's negligible, I was just curious about the actual quantifiable numbers involved.

Maybe 150

That's for an hour of walking
