because SS focuses on strength for people that are brand new to lifting

you do SS for a few months and then move on to do hypertrophy or whatever the fuck you want with the ability of lifting heavier than if you just focused on aesthetics from the beginning

why is this so hard to understand

I would pay just to look like him on the left

because it seems bizarre to recommend a routine that is focused on strength when most brand new people just want to look good

You need strength to look good as a natural

Because they always end up fatter and disproportionate. Look at everything below the waist versus above the waist on the picture to the right.

looking good to normal people is having abs, bigger than average arms and some chest muscles, not tree trunk legs

Too many compounds in my opinion that focus on thighs and core which isn't what looks good over all.

Shit frame + shit routine + shit diet = shit physique

wow

>looking good to normal people
Might as well just cut to 10% BF with 0 muscle then, if this is your only goal

have sex

I do, with your mother

post sex

But you don't need heavy weights to look good and have big muscles? It's a complete meme

ughh incels..

Still better than Barbell Medicine bullshittery.

Nice try, Jow Forums
Now get off my board tranny

Right unironically just needs a few months of good delt and arm work, and jt would be a decent physique.

This. SS is stupid. Stop recommending it for aesthetics. Remove it from the sticky. I lurked long enough before doing anything to avoid that bullet. Kept seeing people meme about kettlebell swings and protein powder. It was cheap and easy to start, so I bought a 15lb one. 15lbs cause I was weak as fuck and it's sad. Made sure to have 2 scoops (60g of protein) of whey a day.
>after practicing form a bit, did 50 reps.
>pain in back of legs and ass for 3 days, couldn't walk right
>did another 50, was easy as fuck now, did another 50. So 100 that day.
>no pain the next day, sweet.
>did this for a week but built up to 500 a day before buying a 30lb kettlebell
>it's hard again, start at 50 a day
>rinse and repeat

TL;DR - I went from fat fuck to lean kettlebell swinging machine. If you just want aesthetics, do what I did. But, I'm up to 60lbs bells now, so... probably strong enough. I can easily do a chin-up/pull-up, which I couldn't do before. Push-ups are nothing.

Based. Post body bro?

SS is not stupid, it's the best beginner routine that everyone should do. Focus on BEGINNER, if STARTING strength wasn't enough. You do this shit for 3 months, max out your newbie gains and move onto PPL where the real lifting begins.
Also not doing accessories like dips and arm work in general on SS is incredibly stupid.

No. I still have extra skin from being fat. I'm not going outside or taking pictures for 10 years or however long it actually takes.

seems based, but also extremely slow. wouldn't you be able to combine this with other compound lifts for max gainz? is kettleball swinging really that taxing on all muscle groups?

>I can easily do a chin-up/pull-up, which I couldn't do before. Push-ups are nothing.
Jesus fucking Christ. This guy is giving advice.

I train legs once a week now and I feel much happier
My legs are developed enough to make me happy and comfortable with my pairs of trousers and they're also strong as fuck for their size.
all I do for legs is conventional deadlifts
idgaf about squats

Attached: happy frog tea.jpg (225x225, 17K)

If you haven't done anything, then yes. But, it's really that it requires every muscle group. While only certain groups will get noticeable gains, it requires every group to execute without causing damage. Hence you start low and slow. But, it's not that slow. Dropped ~40lbs in the first month. But, that could also be attributed to the adage, "if you're fat, nothing is easier than losing weight".

Nobody on this board is qualified to give advice, but at least mine won't have you looking like a bloated T-Rex after 2 months.

SS is a beginner routine for the most part, so the sample of people doing SS instead of 6 day bro-splits is non-random. Also hypertrophy is for physique, so it's just common sense.

Attached: download.jpg (643x388, 49K)

That left one is honestly my idea of perfect and is my goal desu. Is that the SS or hypertrophy one?

>started SS in mid March
>took 3x5 squat from 110kg to 150kg
>gained 18lbs

downside i don't think my legs are any bigger

Post body. You're guaranteed DYEL.

You absolutely do not need to lift heavy or do squats/deadlifts to look good natty.

People don't realize its more embarrassing to look strong and be weak than it is to look weak and be strong.

I said why I won't . If you need another reason, it's because I'm not giving you faggots fapping material. I told you I've been lurking a long time. There will be a couple GJs, some DYELs, but mostly people asking for ass pics.

absolutely, most posters here never want to ever actually have to use their muscles, they just want to 'look big'

SS is good for squats and deadlifts, good for getting started on the bench press and OHP, but generally terrible for upper body. Switch to an UL split as soon as you stall on bench/OHP

I ran SS my first year of lifting. It builds a base you can develop aesthetics off of.

What routine did you move on to afterwards?

t. curlbro

what were your lifts after SS? how much weight did you gain?

LOL you look like a fuckin peanut bro

Attached: peanut_boy_wtf_lmao.jpg (183x275, 5K)

A bunch. PHUL, PHAT, PPL, various 5/3/1 templates, a bro split. I'm currently on a bro-split with an extra full-body day and 5/3/1 progression on my main lifts.

How much those roids cost?

Is that why his nipples look like they are trying to produce milk?

Stop what you're doing. God dammit people are fucking retarded.

>I can do a pull up so listen to my advice.
I can do 14 strict. So does that make my advice 14+ times more valuable? Because drop that kettle bell and don't waste money on whey. Grab a barbell and spend that money on steak.

Barbells and weights are more expensive than a single kettlebell though. And why would I stop when it's working for me? Maybe my advice won't work for someone else. But it works for me.

Is this achievable natty?

>More expensive.
Your single 60 lbs kettlebell costs several months gym membership.

>Why stop when it's working?
Loosely speaking.

>Maybe my advice won't work for someone else.
Not just that, but your advice lacks any frame of reference or experience. Your advice comes from a complete lack of any knowledge to share and a complete inability to investigate or scrutinize your ideas. You would have contributed as much to our understanding of training by just posting the lyrics to the power rangers theme. It's not about you and what you do. It's about your shitty advice to do what you do, which is directionless and optimal for nothing. No matter what your goals, you would make better progress with a barbell and some fundamental understanding of the reasoning behind programming. Whey is not special. Just expensive proteins. Kettle bells are garbage for almost everything. And you may be real good at swinging your arms around right now and i'm sure your shoulders look great. But if you have any performance based goals whatsoever i'll train any low-responding woman circles around you while you use your kettlebells and whey.

swings get you juicy ass hamstrings bro

What the heck? It's only $85 for a 60lbs kettlebell. Gym membership for a fucking week is $60. As for the rest of your post, just no.

>But, I'm up to 60lbs bells now
Can you clean & press them yet?

Just don't show your face in the picture bro. It's an anonymous Cambodian crossstich forum, nobody will recognize you.

>Gym membership for a fucking week is $60

Attached: 1538152668685.jpg (530x665, 77K)

At least he's honest about where he is and what he's coming, unlike the many lifters that pretend to have 300 pound benches and 600 pound deadlifts at 160 pounds in this forum.

Ya, no joke. Fucking Canada man.

I would.

I am on SS, am fat, but not as fat as I was when I started. I want to get stronger, that's my goal, that's why I do it. You don't need to make a thread every day asking "why" you fucking retard. ffs

home gym masterrace it is for you friend
canada has blessed you with the most comfy gains

Because SS is for strength and strength has nothing to do with aesthetics. Get a brain moran.

>Whey is not special. Just expensive proteins
Hey, it's good for cutting. That's about all it's good for, a relatively cheap way to hit a protein goal without too many calories.

How good is this routine compared to SS? Will I get more balanced chest=t-rex legs ratio?

Attached: Routine.png (485x584, 36K)

H-h-h-hhow bad did I fall for the SS meme, brehs?

Attached: FUCK.jpg (462x1023, 91K)

ah, the old one hand pressing behind the back while the other is out of frame, trick.

a fine way to boost the appearance of broadness

Attached: 1556756163226.jpg (671x708, 117K)

Just do a fullbody 3x a week routine with
Squats
Hamstring curls
Horizontal press exercise
Vertical press excercise
Horitzontal pull
Vertical pull

Then thrown on some curls at the end and your good

Bruh are you lactating?

I can't believe how retarded this kid is. Almost has to be a troll.

Thanks for replying, although you say nothing regarding my point, probably because you know as little about training as he does.

>over 3000 for a year's gym membership
They better have gold plated squat racks and a complimentary masseuse in the locker room.

Attached: 1534967955355m.jpg (619x1024, 107K)

>bench 3x week
RIP shoulders

so what is the best program for aesthetics?

>60 a week

I pay almost half that for a full month. Does your gym have hookers it pays to blow you between sets?

because you'll get objectively better results by just not doing SS

>Wow, he posed for the picture

Thanks for your astute and helpful input.

no arm work

Just stick to SS for 1 year then flip the switch to hypotrophy, I personally just flipped the switch to do SS but with 3x15 for everything, now i'm cut as fuck

Nigga get stronger shoulders. Don't be a bitch. Do more facepulls

>t. fell for the Equinox meme

WHERE ARE THE FACEPULLS?

That guy has short arms

Not that bad, just ate a little too much. Just cut and you'll look fine.

You could just dry fast and solve the problem in weeks you know?

youre traps look huge here i think it's just a weird angle

>worse lighting
>different pose
>different angle
The difference is he actually has significantly more mass overall in the second photo

> youre traps look huge here

nop traps are actually that big

i can clean over 330 and deadlift 500lbs + x 5 now. got big boi traps as a result

You're still a fatass fatty tough

true, with bottom-tier chest insertions. ive already given up ever being aesthetic, don't worry. i have no self-delusions.

I ran ivysaur 4 my first program
better than ss because there is REAL CHEST VOLUME

If you think 3x a week chest is bad, you will NEVER make it

Kek post body dyel

based. Thanks. Everytime I post that question about that program there's always some dude bitching about muh too much bench!

100% DYEL

also one question. What program did you switch to after ivysaur?

post body and timestamp

Congrats Harry Potter. Guarantee you look dyel next to anyone >180 lbs

you must have the most dyel body of all time

guaranteed you are benchlet

Because they didn't do fucking greyskull

Cope

I did a few
wendler, madcow (trash btw), and smolov as well as smolov junior [DO NOT TRY SMOLOV UNLESS YOU ARE ON GEAR. I made this mistake. There is simply not enough recovery time].

Now I’m a personal trainer so I just make my own programs depending on my goals, a few months ago it was a powerlifting program, since the comp has passed rn I’m running hypertrophy.

I paid $65/month at YMCA downtown Toronto in 2012. Any GoodLife membership is $20-$40/month and you can go to ANY gym. Condo gyms are FRE.

Where did you look, LA Fitness?
