Morrowind is one of the best WRPGS in terms of player creativity (you can make your own spells and enchant armor to do almost fucking anything, as well as the fact potions stack and you can chug them one after the other which makes some parts of the game trivial)
Oblivion is just a really solid RPG when it comes to certain quests (Dark Brotherhood is the most well written and unique), has a crappy main story but the DLC story for the Shivering Isles is pretty damn fun and unique, also has crafting spells but less options than Morrowind.
Skyrim is very limited in gameplay (most classes pretty much boil down to stealth archer and mages are pretty dogshit in the game), and the story is pretty boring as fuck. Some side quests and the DLC are neat but that's about it.
I can't say anything about the DOS games as I have never played them.

Oblivion is a fucking mess. All the pieces of a decent RPG are there, but instead of fitting in like a jigsaw puzzle, Todd basically smashed the pieces where he thought they should go. The combat system is tedious thanks to bad AI, the perks granted by skills are fucking weird, and it has the same bad balancing issues that everyone complains about with Skyrim. The spell crafting system is ok, but runs out of steam quickly. And the voice acting isnt good because Bethesda cant hire good talent directors.

If you zoom out on it and dont think, it seems like a great game, but the minute you look for depth it's either not there or not good
