Short height in men is bad because innately it makes you worse as a fighter. Shorter limbs mean you can't hit as far, smaller hands mean weaker grip, thinner bones mean more injuries, etc.

Even if you lift it makes no difference that you are short and can't fight.

HOWEVER, if you do learn to fight, you can overcome disadvantage as you learn a style to approach it from. With that, you will carry the confidence that you can be as assertive as you want and when it boils down to it, no one can do anything about it if they don't know how to fight.

Normies of any height, you will learn, are pathetic babies when it comes to even throwing a punch much less knowing how to read your movements and dodge and counter.

Tldr learn to fight and you will stop being insecure. Your life will go from "what if" to "I have spared well against guys that size"
