no

No. Same goes for the losers that take steroids. If you’re not competing, a athlete or get paid to look good you’re just another druggie.

yes

It depends on what your goals are
So Maybe

Its fun

Out of curiosity what's your stance on people who do ironmen for fun?

Not everyone who deadlifts 315 can do it for 15 reps, if you can deadlift 500lbs you’re more than likely able to deadlift 315 for more than 15 reps

Pic is CrossFit plates, so it’s 405

It seems fun. I have a feeling you’re going to tell me that they are all druggies.

No I'm gonna call you a hypocrite for saying there's no point in pushing maximal strength, but thinking that equally extreme endurance sports are "fun"
I neither know nor care about drug use and I don't understand why dyels are so negatively fascinated by it

There is no benefit to living, so why do anything?

Stop asking stupid questions

Ya it makes picking up babes easier
Ayoo!

It's an ego thing if you aren't in strength sports

>i need drugs to push myself
Spoken like a true druggie, those are the drugs pushing them and without them they wouldn’t have the will to do anything. Get real and stop being a brainlet.

He didn't say there's no point in pushing maximal strength you coping druggie faggot, and he's entitled to an opinion on whether or not "extreme endurance sports" are "fun". Methinks needles are not the only hard things going in your ass.

he never mentioned or condoned steroid use. He just mentioned the fact that you DYEL'S think body destroying sports like marathons are fun and but can't imagine lifting 600lbs being fun because you bench 65lbs. Same way I can't imagine destroying your knees and back to run around like antelope being fun.

No benefit. I’ll never get the guys that come in wearing knee wraps still trying to squat 300. Like dude, fucking why? Give your joints a rest, you’re pushing 30, you can still look good and be healthy without risking your health.

even then it is. shit most things are ego things. doesn't mean that lessens them in any way.

best answer. just do you and stop worrying about meaningless definitions made by internet strangers.

>squatting risking your health
pick one, faggot.

jeesus lay off the soilent, boi

Never said anything was wrong about lifting large amounts of weight you illiterate dumbshit.
>is there a benefit “no”
Thats it and thats the truth. Where other than a competition are you going to need to be able to dead lift 600lb?

"Is there any benefit in lifting this heavy if you're not competing in a strength sport?"

"No."

Please enlighten me on how else you would interpret that.

Is there any benefit to lifting heavy

I would read it as is and would not interpret it any other way. It not like you’re reading a 2,000 year old manuscript that was once in a different language and recently translated. And since you’re too stupid to differentiate enjoyment and betterment something does not have to be beneficial to be enjoyable. i.e. Watching a movie, drinking a beer, climbing a rope, having unprotected sex with your daft cow of a mother on speed. Get it?

its fun adding weight to the bar

Saving your family from debris that fell on them.

Truck on ice/mud and and no tow harness. Dumb shit. My gains have practical applications, as I've tested.

Being stronger is the benefit.
Some people get hooked on setting PRs particularly for 1RM. It gives you an objective goal to work towards that aesthetics doesn't. And you can quantity progress better than your weight and bf%.

There's a sense of achievement in working towards a new PR that you've trained for months to get.

Anyone who says there's no benefit is a weakfag who trains for aesthetics, who has never squatted >2pl8 because it's "bad for your knees". They will remain forever mediocre.

Those people are competing, they have to enter an ironman, Powerlifters can enter powerlifting competitions for fun still counts as competing.

yes

crossfitters are always delusional.

You're delusional if you think the people deadlifting and squatting 700+ and benching 400+ are doing it without having the drive to do it, even with steroids. You dont do stuff like that unless you really want to because it's fucking hard as shit.

It's fun and sets me up for the day. Pulled 600 daily for a few months now. Don't compete but do have job where strength can be important.

Being strong is fun faggot

what did you do going from 500 to 600

What's the point of lifting at all if you won't push it a little? When you can deadlift 100kg do you just stop there and do it for reps for the rest of your life?

lift rocks and wood

Maxed out every day.

And what does it have to do with the OP's question?

>ironmen
>is a competition

kek I counted and it's
1 45
2 10s
3 25s
1 15
fucking 355 lmao

What's a crossfit plate

>I'll never get why people don't want to get bigger and stronger

Never got laid.jpg

This

>OY VEY STOP LIFTING HEAVY
Are you fuckers trying to troll me into becoming jaded? Everywhere I look you fags are pushing weakness.

why do people ride motorcycles instead of cars
why do people go bungee jumping
why do people go sky diving

becasue its fun you basement dwelling faggots

The benefit to getting stronger is that you are stronger. Lifting heavy weights is just the result of wanting to compete with yourself, you don't need a financial reason to want to improve at something.

You're not doing your lifespan any favors by bursting blood vessels and shrinking your balls to make a number get bigger.

Yes. There is a very good reason all of you should be doing squats and deadlifts at every workout. Try adding some while you’re at home, too.

Thanks in advance.

Yes.
