I used to train abs when i didn't had them. I didn't train them for years now and just remain the same(probably because of the fact i still do compound exercises that indirectly trains them).
I thought beside doing crunches(with feet in the air) this pic exercise was one of the best, because it trains both lower and upper abs. Just make sure you do like 2 crunch exercises and one exercise for lower abs. Then also 1/2 excises for obliques

Did you have trouble keeping consistent with lifting and balancing work? My job has frequent call-offs and I need to stay (nursing, sometimes 24 hour) if no one is to pick up the shift after me. I was lying about what I had to after or before work in order to be sure I could make it. Now I'm at the point where I just want to be straight about why I insist on leaving early enough for gym and sleep. This is the most I've ever made so I don't want to quit, but within the year I think I can get a position where I work 40 hours in 3 days instead. I don't feel confident about my appearance to just say let me go workout; never felt this kind of shame before.
